Yeah, apparently the people who were Spamsey were all logged on at the same time, so 4 or 5 people were using the one account which is how the managed to get a post in every thread on the first page, apparently thought the Flood Control still works though, so if say Spamsey 1 posted and then Spamesy 2 went to post it wouldnt let he/she.
Or so thats what iv heard from my sources
:ph34r:
well this also could be case like;
but i'm not saying this is what happened, just suggesting it could have happened :-" o:)Quote:

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm this seams like the work or Arther J Withcheese...... :rolleyes:
Hello :)
I am the real Withcheese. I signed up for this forum in September but never used my account. It would appear that some spam-monkey hacked my account and it is him, not me that is responsible for my 4,239 previous posts. I'm sorry about that and normal service will now resume. :)

Thats real clever cos the Invision Board carries M5 Encription Codeing which is the best Password programme available and is 99% impossible to hack, so someone has some very good gear or already knew his password :)

It would take a distributed computing project to crack just one piece of MD5 encryption... or a hell of a lot of luck.[/quote]
Exactly - Which is why it's futile to follow such a route. And besides, 7th's probably done one of his "board modifications" to render brute-force either useless or very slow :P
Still, acquiring a password is still a lot easier than cracking it - You just have to go back to the basics.
For example - Remember that little password reminder feature that comes as standard on practically all IPB boards (and most boards altogether). How many ways can you think a person can grab access to Azzz's mailbox and use the password reminder to either retrieve or reset the password?
It could also be as simple as Azzz logging on in a public space, e.g. a school. It's become one of those security announcements around my college to always log off when leaving a computer unattended - That is because someone in the college had recently left their computer logged on in IT, and came back to find all his work deleted and a sole text file left in his area saying "Har Har - Shouldn't have left your area logged on".
Maybe I'm wrong and neither of the two things above happened to Azzz. But still, like I said - Cracking isn't the only way to gain access ;)
