It isnt Defamation.

Its an internationally recognised Distress Signal, and one of the methods used in the past to warn others that the enemy had over-run the camp, so to speak.

Works better with more symetrical flags though, like the Union Flag of the UK :P

Pretty easy to spot an upside down asymetrical flag :P

Most people find that invading their country is inflamatory, but you support it anyway...

I'll stick with the International Definition, not that decided by 0.01% of the 6% of the worlds population that make up the USA... ;)

Who really cares at the end of the day it's just a flag...if you want to make a big thing about a piece of cloth that's your choice, but as an American (just assuming) scoff has the right to fly his flag as he wishes.
