I nominate the 80'sQuote:

Nirvana.
Nirvana was way over hyped, but they did open up a whole genera of music to a lot of people. Nirvana almost single handidly created modern rock radio stations.
And without the blues, there would be no Rolling Stones.Quote:

It all comes from somewhere.
True, it does all come from somewhere. You could probabally trace it all the way back to whoever created the universe. But would you call God overrated for creating the universe? The Stones and the Beatles were genera influential, like muddy waters and B.B. King before them.
God was into bands like Styper back then.
God = Overrated.
G-Unit  nuff said
Yes I realize they're not a band, but I hate them....dirty bastards
umm, no. :dry:Quote:

if your a nirvana fan plz dont bother flaming this post, your already sad enough for liking the band plz dont embarrass yourself by defending them
ummmmmm...... yes :frusty:
commmmmon, I know you were listinen to ice ice baby and hammer don't hurt em till smells like teen spirit came along.
Westlife, blue, oh eah, busted were too
Never heard but one song from Silverchair, and it was called "Untitled". Sounded like a the theme for a someone who is very depressed or holding a rage inside of them.
Anyways, I thought these were overrated at the their time:
Static X - A few good songs, but the rest get annoying because of the dude's voice...eh
Brittany Spears - ...how she has crashed and burned now of days.....even the slutty album didn't save her.
Jay Z working with Linkin Park - Collision course...literally. Bam!, nothing new.
Metallica and Tu-Pac - Loads of albums, but the songs are nothing new now of days. There are some people that are fan-addicted to these still. They should try some other music too. Maybe Fuel...or Sean Paul (shake-dat-ting----miss canna canna....)

Any song on the radio i pretty much hate.Any good song has been made 5-10 years ago already...
sounds like you need to find better radio stations to listen to.

Green Day
Fallout Boy and Green Day IMHO
there are so many of them on the top:: oasis
Oasis isn't overrated where I live.
I think the MOST overrated band (on the radio at least) is Nine Inch Nails, IMO. More so than Green Day and Fallout Boy.
U2
Linkin Park
My Chemical Romance
