Trance Route actually looks like a better site because they have a whole lossless section. I mean i guess it doesn't matter because most low end trance/house/techno etc. artists don't use lossless samples but rather mp3's....
Also I looked at the site review and there was no dedicated lossless section on TT!!!!
But i fully support you, there must be something special you want there.
Killzone08085
U got me .
What do you mean? If you want TT you should go for it I think.
I'm just stating my opinion and I am not a member of either sites, so I know only what I saw in Reviews. And based on what i saw TranceRoute does appear to be a better site.
The only legitimate reason I have seen requests for TT are for people who can't find some music on TR. If you want it for your collection w.e.
But it seems to be a terribly over rated site, that makes their invites hard to obtain to put up a false front that its a good site.
Killzone08085
I don't even download lossless!
And so do many members, but then the only thing where TT stands out is the TT packs.()
Infact TR forums are way much active and lively in comparison to TT:)..This makes SUPER DUPER ACTIVE on the TR forums :01:
Lol this is where TT contradicts its self... If your that into trance, electronic, house, etc. you would
care about sound quality. I personally only listen to flac, even on my mp3 player. And yes i even listen to techno and trance....
And you basically said it yourself the only thing good about TT is there packs.....
My point being the site is completely over rated. All TT is, is a status symbol that just adds to users collections of BT sites.
Which is what takes me to the core of all TT requests. Almost no one can get one because they can't describe why they want it....
Because the truth is its not as good as it is built up to be.
Hey..i dont spin so i dont care about QUALITY,and 320 is pretty good enough to have it on my pod.
I said The packs are most Killer part about TT.
True to a very large extent.I can see at a time not more than 80 users out of 8000 members active online.
And never do even popular EP's get snatched more than a 150 times, when there are more than 7000+ members...
It does have a lot of collectors on it.And when i went through some profiles of some users,i saw something sick.
Members out there for more than 2 years have only 500 mb uploaded......:dabs:
Hey Killzone,i somewhat to an extent do agree with you.but not completely!
For me TT,TR,and elektROnik have always been my favorite trackers.
I'm just saying I always see you post in REQ for TT invites. And you always ask why, which lead down a long path that reveals That the personal really doesn't need the invite. I think people should just come clean and say they just want the invite to add to their collection lol.Quote:

You don't have to spin to care about quality, my ear can hear the difference between lossy and losslesss. And it kills me to hear mp3's and i can't listen to a song knowing its an mp3.
I'm sort of an audiophile but if you get yourself a good set of speakers, not any trash headset, but a good 2 channel you could probally hear the difference.
I'm not meaning to bash on your favorite sites btw, because i fully respect that you enjoy them.
This is what happens to sites like this lol. They are being out competed by a lvl 3 tracker, and yet still don't budge. If they dropped down to lvl 3 and eased up, their community would be so much better. Because in all reality I'm sure their exclusive packs are pretty cool, but these packs better be the best music on earth to be 5 lvls ahead of TRQuote:

MP3 sounds wonderful on my Pod.
Lets END our discussion here bro.I agree with what you posted above,:yup:and that's why i no more have the TT signature or even the TR signature, coz by carrying around it with me,im just kinda ruining the tracker up,by getting traders and collectors who then keep looking for an invite and sooner get into the tracker!! :dabs:
bump
Up!
and it's Trance:lol:
almost
Im rooting for u senegal. Ur persistence might eventually be rewarded. Or maybe not lol who knows
hasn't it sunk in yet?
This request is not goin anywhere.
I think it's called the placebo effect.
There are no real differences perceptible to human ears past 192, let alone from 320 to FLAC.
Maybe not on a an ipod headset lol, but on a good 2 channel setup I can. The louder the music is the more you can hear the difference.
Especially on poor conversions as you start to get distortion or other bad interference.
I had my friends test me before and I could determine their mp3 music to my flac. :music:
I use my ipod playing flac through a line out through a protected gold plated cable 3.5mm to R Y I made myself to my sunfire ultimate receiver receiver going to two vintage Thiel cs2's, Also using some custom cables I ordered from some guy off hydrogenaudio.
I'll post a picture of my rig in a bit.
But it's trance:unsure:
Most of my trance collection is in mp3 as it is so hard to find flac. Although I got benny bennassi's best of cd, and man does that sound good in flac. Also some tiesto
My music of choice is death metal, and classic rock. The setup wasn't intended for trance :p, although it doesn't sound bad.
Considering that so many electro releases nowadays are WEB only, or at least WEB only for a long time before a CD or the rare FLAC over WEB release, 320k is what you have to deal with so often. That is, if you want the newest stuff as fast as possible. Which is exactly what TT provides. Plus more. Yes TT has the occasional FLAC offering, in fact I'd venture to say that it has had as many as TR however they dont last as long. Add that along with the fact that because TT has been a "high level" tracker for so long that there are many collectors there. So yes, seeder decay is a problem with a site that has less than 8k users and at least 1k of them collectors.
Personally, my favorite parts of the site are the live DJ streams and their livesets.
BTW: I have to agree w/ Tv controls you on the small diff to be found between 320k and FLAC. I have taken many double blind tests on 320k and FLAC and have found that on certain types of music the difference is perceptible. I must emphasize that it only works on certain types of music, electro often being one. Rock, especially the older stuff on 24bit/88.2khz and on a quality system is detectable, though almost negligible. But if your that into FLAC What.CD is probably a one stop shop.
Lol @ that setup... you realize the internal wiring and DAC of the iPod is terrible right? Negates half that crap.
Also, I'd bet you'd have real issues providing concrete ABX test results of V0 or 320 MP3 against FLAC. People who say MP3 is unlistenable are idiots. at 96kbps, perhaps, but by the time you jump from 320kbps->FLAC the returns are quite diminishing, and aren't detectable for most of the general populace. Since you seem to like HydrogenAudio, pay attention to the fact that they laugh at anyone who says FLAC > MP3 unless they provide statistically significance ABX proof that they can tell the difference.
As for the OP, it's been five months, no one is going to invite you. Let this thread die.

Take a look their, other audiophiles argue that it performs as well as a $1000 dollar DAC. Also I play a a line out 0 db. The ipod is truly a audiophile grade piece of technology.
There was a guy in my residence at university that literally sank every penny to his name ( 10's of thousands of dollars) into the best audio equipment known to Man .
What's more if something came out that was apparently infinitesimally better than what he currently had he would instantly run down to the store and order it for he could tell the difference.
Anyway midterm comes around and he isn't doing very well in his courses because he's quote "having trouble concentrating "So he goes to the doctor who informs him that the reason he is having difficulty concentrating is due to the fact he has a moderately severe hearing loss.
You're all cawks.:music:
The Wolfson DAC is only in the 60 and 80GB iPod videos (5.5 Gen I believe?). The models newer and older use a cheaper brand of DAC. That's one of the reasons that the company that does the iMod will only do so on an iPod video.
Meh, there still isn't any benefit to running your sound system off an iPod versus say, a computer tower connected through a HQ DAC.
Have you looked at the Wadia iTransport? Despite its low cost it performs its job well (especially for those of you who have a non 5.5 gen iPod). I don't trust the line out mods on iPods anyway, but anything beats their terrible headphone jack output.
Portable listening doesn't need audiophile quality. You can't appreciate any tiny nuanced difference between FLAC and MP3 when you're sitting on a loud, crowded bus for instance. And before you suggest noise cancelling headphones, those introduce a whole new set of acoustic issues ;)
I hate bose and every product they make. Also noise canceling headphones are terrible as my good friend owns a pair. Every product they make is so low end and overpriced.
Im sure there is other companies that make them now, but when I first listened to them it was only bose.
The only benefit is that the ipod is ultra portable and can be taken anywhere with me, while at the same time sounding damn good.
Also I've never really tried going from my desktop to my 2 channel setup, I've heard bad things about it though.
People say you pick up interference, unless you use an external audio card. Idn just sounds like a pain, when I enjoy my current rig.
