Can you explain to me why he decided to ban me now, in the year 2011? I started a philosophical discussion in the channel. I asked what true knowledge is. OK let's for the sake of argument pretend that you are being serious right now.Simple answer is that you don't have to do anything wrong . They can still ban you and there is not the slightest thing, other than pointlessly whine , that you can do about it.

You should also not be "in pain" over losing a tracker. The staff obviously doesn't want you as a member, so just move on. Like I said before, HDBits isn't the only game in town. Move onto one of the many other HD trackers. Or better yet, renew your Usenet subscription(I know you had troubles with it at the beginning, but the more you learn about it the easier it becomes to use). It's the better method of obtaining HD files in my opinion anyways.

When you post something on their forums, people will respond to you very soon, and it's interesting that they are actually pretty good people. The irc channel is also quite active. I mean, you can feel that there is life there. What am I supposed to do at bit-hdtv where the forums are practically dead? What other English-speaking trackers are there? Don't remember anything about them.

Do you really need tracker specific forums for HD? I mean, there has to be several big forums out there for HD discussions, and I'm sure they are just as active if not more then HDBits forums... I don't understand this obsession with tracker forums. Obviously a public forum will have (potentially) a lot more activity and members.

I am not talking specifically about HD discussions; it's about the fact their forums are active overall; I mean, they actively discuss anything and it doesn't matter if the subject of the discussion pertains to HD or not. And they have the content that I like: blu-rays with movies.

Well, if it's not specifically the content that you're missing but the forums, there are other trackers with active forums with pretty active forums. But I personally enjoy the couple non-filesharing forums that I frequent the most. Just look around, you'll easily find something to replace HDBits.

And honestly, I don't see what you think is so special with their forums. I don't think I've ever made a single post in them the whole time I've been a member.

OlegL, I'm pretty sure you're a member at What.cd. Have you ever tried clicking on "Forums" while logged in? There's enough posting for a lifetime there.

Well, the thing is that hdbits was the first hd tracker I was ever a member of. That is one of the reasons I developed some sort of special feelings for that tracker. Yes, at that time I felt people of hdbits were mean to me, but when I joined bit-hdtv, I felt it was a bad tracker. I also thought hdbits.ro and scenehd were bad after I joined them (and I already mentioned it in one of my other posts). hdahoy, hd-torrents, or torrentgui have active forums? Maybe I should join one of those trackers (though I am not sure I already had an account on at least one of those trackers that was deleted because of inactivity). But one of the things that made me feel fascinated with HDBits was that they knew things about hi-def that I didn't know and still don't know. You really can feel that that tracker has a special mission, and I didn't feel that way about bit-hdtv and other trackers. But, as I said, I am not sure... Maybe if I join one of those other trackers, I will like them.

Before you tell me about you, I will tell you that I know you don't have any girlfriend(s), but internet (one website) is not equivalent to any reak human being.
You can get all the HD movies in various other sites. Forget about releases (yes, I am talking about the internal releases of hdbits as most of the people tend to talk about those releases only), at the end of the day while watching films, all you need to get is one quality release. And obviously, other hd releases are worth watching. Yes, if you compare the quality of the encodes with the quality of original disk, then all of them will suck.

I'm sure that someone will protest but it really is all about trying to be "one up" on other people and absolutely nothing about the" quality" of the encode or more importantly the enjoyment of the film.

Would I "appreciate " some films more in "perfect quality"? Perhaps but the weird thing is that some of my favorite films remain ones that I watched years ago on what was ,even then, a far from cutting edge 20 " non-HD TV.
