bitmetv down again?
So hdbits, bit-hdtv, and bitmetv are all down, and it seems for days.....
somethings up?
Hd bits has been up AND down for days now. They come back, then a couple hours later, they're gone. It actually makes sense for them to completely go away until they fix whatever it is. If they just come back, they'll probably go down again real quick.
As long as they DO come back, it's cool.
Its not coincidence hdbits.org & bithdtv.com are down almost the same time.Based on inside info both are victims of DDoS attacks.Its well known that servers cant afford the load of those activities and usually after sometime crashes.Unfortunately it looks like a serious situation for the users of both trackers.Even hdbits & bithdtv has nothing in common..except the fact that they are the oldest dedicated HD trackers.

So this isn't really supposed to be "the new cheggit". Back in December 11, when I embarked on a 'bold new vision' for the site, I thought we could change the site and make everything just work. But as time went on, it just wasn't feasible to do that and be in compliance. On top of that p2p really didn't know this was coming a week ago either. This wasn't what he was talkin about. We both had a very different idea of where things would go.
It was not really an easy decision, and in retrospect it took me weeks to act on it. On the other hand, the result is not something that websites generally do when they close up. One day everything's peachy, then the next they're just gone. So yeah, we could have just Gone Dark like others have done, and it was certainly an option. However, I didn't really want to do that. I wanted to give the community a chance to exchange info and keep hooked up if you wanted to. That's right . . . regardless of what you might think, this was done for the community. Best decision? Who knows. But I do know that it isn't the worst thing that could have happened. I've been at this faar longer than I care to admit, and it would have sucked to just lop it off.
So . . . all that being said, I figured we may as well have a little fun with it. So I got this clone script of FMyLife and thought we could use it for jokes and funny shit instead of just simply depressing shit. If you've ever read FMyLife, it's pretty depressing.
All you gotta do is click on the logo up there, click submit, and put in a joke. Or 2. Let's laugh it off instead of crying about it. Then come back to the forums and pm/post to the ppl that you'd like to stay in touch with... or you could just keep posting here. For now it's not going anywhere.
Yeah, it sucks, but it's been a pretty crazy week around here. As much as this may suck, it doesn't suck near as much as just going away.
