Did i say or use the word "sneak" in my post?? The people that were in the truck didn't originate from the UK right;)...They

weren't flown in and then put on a truck.... They travelled across Europe without any borders.....Why was it never stopped

going the distance it did?? I don't think it read live humans on the trucks manifest??

Funny even if you Travel in the US or Canada there are many inspection/weight stations they must enter while travelling, let

alone borders between the two countries.... If a Truck travels from France to the UK, is there any security measures ?? I won't

even get into the Middle East ;)

Better question Barbs, are you from the UK?? And is there an immigration, drug, or sex trafficking issues across Europe?? And do

you think borders would help that??

A lot of it seems to have more to do with the evolving delineation of what constitutes a "border".

The idea that any sort of land-bridge indicates some vague commonality doesn't jibe well at all with actual human behavior, never mind what experts

purport to tell us.

Good point J2K4, but still i would like to know if there is actual Transport Stations they have to go through traveling from country

to country across Europe for inspections??

You know regardless of true Borders J2k4 that there are Transport Stations all across America and Canada... And if they are

open you must go in get weighed, show your manifest, and how many hours you been driving, at least!!!

I am kind of figuring that doesn't happen across Europe!!!, considering all the illegal immigration alone coming out of the Middle

East!!!...

And Europe is feeling it now that open borders is not the greatest thing.......

Over 10,000 vehicles per day (7,000 of which are lorries) pass through the port of Dover, and you want to inspect every single one?? It's just not practical. Hence the contingency planning for no-deal Brexit involved turning most of the motorways of Kent into a lorry park...

Pretty sure we have transport stations on our major routes, in fact there's one just up the road from me. I don't know what the requirements are for inspections though. :unsure:

The problem with Europe, well the EU in particular is not the lack of internal borders, but the lack of an effective external border.

Agreed; the issue of internal borders is down to whatever the mutual attitudes of the countries who share them, but the coastal areas are wildly varying, I'm sure.

None of that has any commonality with the situation vis a vis Brexit, however - at least it doesn't seem so from here.

Tell me if I am wrong, but I think the Brits wish to consider the two matters separately.

I think Israel is a model of active security - potential missile-traffic aside.

The actual issues go beyond trade and border intrusion; I believe them to be - again, tell me if I'm wrong - primarily administrative/judicial.

The ICC/Hague certainly doesn't hold any appeal, does it?

Really the truth, all the trucks that go into Gaza are all inspected, except the ones that come from Israel itself....They have the best technology in the world to

prevent smuggling, but saying that you can stop everything, would just make you naive;)

When it comes to Missile Defense or any Military technology, it is shared with the US, mostly designed and improved in Israel and built in the US....

Really there is no such thing as perfect defense, but i can tell you, what Israel does have saves millions of lives.....But peace would be a better

solution...But the chances are very slim... So they never let there guard down and life goes on there:D

Like the US, it is not recognized other than being a kangaroo court.. and the majority of it's backers/members are dictator counties today.. Pretty much the UN and there offshoots..

You only have to watch any live stream of the UN , and see if they are an ally of the US they block, and if Russia they block, nothing gets done other than all the Dictators Have a lovely vacation in the US :)

Really you never hear an issue of external borders, just locking off the freedom of entry, or controlling it.....

That is the other thing i don't really understand, yes the EU is intertwined, but are they not considered all separate countries, budgets, etc?? Obviously

they have separate Government, so if there is a separation, they are not starting from the beginning. they have a system in place....

So now it is trade?? In and out.....And i guess if they choose to accept Euros??

And make controlled secure borders, make negotiations on trade (which they already do!!).. What else am i missing??

Now i assume Barbs does live in that Territory, how does it look for the Conservative Party there vs the Terrorist Labour Party??
