It's nice to see some newcomers to soulseek ,your always welcome ;)
Hi all you soulseekers! just a quick post to let u know I'm still about but I'm having issues with the ole brown box (not stable enough to run a resources hog like ss!) I'm backing up and hope to be back up 24/7 after the weekend. See u on the otherside guys!! :D
soulseek is awesome. I was skeptical at first, only used kazaa, and the first time i tried SS it didnt work for me. This time though, i was patient and it only took a few hours to get started and get everyone to add me to their list, but after that, everything is easy and good quality. I highly recommend SS to everyone! B)
I am going to try this out...get a copy of the Fusion mod for eMule HERE and in the prefrences>Advanced tab put in KLBOARD in the community string....if nothing else this will enable us to bring good releases to K-Lite faster....the community string will give queue priority to anyone who has the KLBOARD communty string enabled..Quote:

hmmm...couldn't we do something similar with say...the fusion mod for eMule?? it would be pretty simple...just add a KLBOARD community...
just a thought...maybe we could do something like that for files other than MP3s perhaps....
like I said..just a thought
Maybe this will help us get new releases faster..and I have found a lot of music cds RARed up on eMule....I got 4 or 5 HIGH QUALITY(VBR from 300~700kbps) cds off there where 1 cd was 1 RAR file...
just a thought....lemme know what u think...

Now, THIS is speed :D
Too bad he had only 6 albums i wanted :)
winmx runs so smoothly..and i never find bad files...use it its easy but im sure soulseek is good too but just...have fun with downloadin lol
(This is a double post, just to make sure all KLF MusicWorld members read this, because I posted that already in another topic)
I downloaded the new client too. I'm hoping it wont crash on me like the old one.
I'm in the room now.
I didn't save any .cfg files, because I had some problems with my usrename with the old client and I wanted a fresh start.
I already added people I've known before to my User's list, but would please someone give me a full list of the KLF MusicWorld members who are considered 'trusted'. PM me some sort of a list or just wait for me in the room and I'll ask someone there when I come back.
I'm also hoping that everyone else will add me to their user's list. (Just remove any of my old usrenames from your list and add me again, please)
I know, I haven't been much in the KLF MusicWorld, but it was because of the fact that the client kept crashing on me. With the new client and all, I'm looking forward to spending more time with you guys.
Cheers
;)

welcome gekko_uk to our world, unfortunatly, there have been scares with security over the last few days (read about it HERE), and as such we're being careful.
As well as no one being there of course (it is gone midnight on Easter Sunday for most people there!).
I've not had a chance to pop in and check your files yet, but look forward to chatting B)

re install?
I just got in that room and its GREAT! They have everything you would ever need in there
:) Have changed something in the first post of this thread.
Instead of haveing files be shared with only people on User List now just switch to Everybody.
It is only fair and it makes it easier for newcomers. :)
yeah, i have everybody, and then max ul set to 1 and extra user list ul set to 2, so you guys can get 2/3 of my bandwith....10K each.Quote:

i started to feel guilty about only adding people to my allowed list, if i wanted stg from them
EDIT: wanted to add, this way you guys can jump my queue too :P

Will do the same,good idea.
I was always adding new people who i trade with anyway and my buddy list was growing. Will have it share with buddy list users first. :)
Yeah i have it this way allready and another advantage is that you can browse the files from users who u/l from you, i allready found many good songs this way.
Before I get this set up and waste all of your time, maybe you can answer one of questions before I get going:
Does the whole group prefer albumwrap or the tracks individually?
I'm stoked to join the group, and I'm known as the guy who has music nobody else would dream of buying (i.e. PM Dawn).
Thanks
album wraps are fine i guess, but i prefer ndividual tracks. i think they would probably be better. ask fc
almost all music on soulseek are indicidually tracks. but you can share albumwraps too. :)Quote:
