Well it kinda looked like he was giving a speech before it cut off. Like a "behind the scenes" cut. Would be pretty funny if he did speak english too, but if that is the case he WOULD have used it before...

-When he was fighting with Michael on beach with regards to Sun
-When he was running from the people on the beach (latest ep)
-On the boat when they were trying to communicate

I have a feeling that at least some of the people that throw them in the pit are from the tail section of the plane.
About entering the numbers and pushing that button to save the world every 108min. I sure hope the writers know what they are doing with that.
