Medical science and myself have agreed that I'm less than correct in the cranium. We've embarked upon a clinical trial which I'm not holding out much hope for.
Nine days into my chemical rebalance I can honestly say that I feel pretty much worse than I did before I began save for the knock-out effect they induce per noctum. This helps, of course, seeing as how I'm a pure chronic anti-sleep adherer. Well, I'm not, my brain is. All I do, though is spend my days looking forward to going to sleep.
I wouldn't really mind stepping into a coma if someone can provide the bed and life-support.
Stick with it, my friend. Keep trying until you find the right anti-depressant that works for your brain chemistry. I went through all of the older ones, then found Cymbalta. It works on two different chems, and has made significant difference in my life. Unfortunately, everyone is different and what works for me may make you feel ENTIRELY nauseous, or put you to sleep. That is NOT how you should feel. Nobody can or should live like that.
Go through the gambit. It isn't easy, and can sometimes make you feel worse than shit. A couple I tried were so unpleasant that I called my Dr. within the first couple of days and made a switch. Good news is that nobody abuses these drugs, so most doctors have samples (I don't know if it would be different in UK) and it is not too hard to try something else.
If you can (money not being a limiting factor) ask for the later-generation anti-depressants. Most of the earlier ones were very similar to sleeping pills. The newer ones have fewer of
those side-effects.
That reads like pure gibberish to me, mate.
Just fix my brain and shut the fuck up.

It says the earlier ones didn't work obviously, but get ready for a shock...newer ones have been tested on humans so it looks like your good to go chavice.

What kinda humans?
Being on this board has taught me that there are varying aspects of humanity.
Take yourself, for example. You'd hardly qualify as a double blind test subject.
Being, as you are, fucked up and totally deformed and what not.
Re: Last one to post wins the internets
If I were you, I'd stick to a regiment of good weed & moderate doses of alcohol. Your head might still be fucked up, but you won't care or notice it as much.

Thanks Doc.
Ever had a wart on the inside of your nose at all?
Re: Last one to post wins the internets
Regarding warts: A physician once told me that sometimes, if you manage to irritate the tissue in and around one, in one place on your body, you might get rid of others of the same strain, in other places on your body, if you have them, what with your immune system killing them off.
I had this really wonky one on my arm which I trimmed away a few times (as per the doctor's orders), until finally it went away when I cut it off really deep, using nail clippers (bled like a motherfucker and left a neat scar), and another one I had on my toe also went away without me even noticing. I haven't had a single wart since then.
Might just be bullshit and circumstantial, though. That's one out of two wart-related stories I've gathered in my whole life ever. The other one was on my finger and got savaged with various surgical implements when I attended med school a long time ago, and we wuz bored.
Re: Last one to post wins the internets
Never had warts. However, I did have a large boil on my ass once. Some ointment cleared it up.
OK...that covers brain problems, warts, and boils...What's next?

1. Do not stay on an antidepressant that makes you miserable- the whole point is to NOT be miserable.
2. Keep in touch with your doctor, and try others until you find one that works.
3. People expect a one-cures-all pill that will make them "happy", that you wont find. However, if you keep trying, there is a good chance you will find one that helps remove some of the chemical imbalances causing depression.
4. Since there is no brain-chemical-imbalance-machine thingy, finding a good fit CAN BE very difficult as you are trying to find the right medicine AND dosage. Added to this, you are already miserable and just want the pain to go away.
5. Doctors will try you out on the older, cheaper medications first. Those were replaced by later drugs which have fewer side-effects LIKE sleeping all the time. One of the antidepressants I tried was putting me down for 14-18 hours a day!

6. Never fucking trust a Doctor.
