The Dark Knight... and I really dont see whats the fuss all about...

The Incredible Hulk... it was ok, but nothing special.

American Psycho- Christian Bale.
Kabuki-like, intensely stylized story of a young, rich and handsome (well, it is a young Christian Bale after all) Wall Street broker who just happens to be a psychopathic homicidal maniac.
Maybe.
Truly a "WTF" movie, I don't know what to make of it.
Bale's character, Patrick Bateman, is a cross between Gordon Gekko and Leatherface- I get that part.
I get the satire of 80's greed and materialism and the obsessive attention to surfaces.
What I didn't get was Willem Dafoe's character and the ending, which calls into question the whole rest of the movie.

Either the movie was too clever to get in just one viewing (like Primer) or a hopelessly muddled mess that tries to be something it ain't.
Think I might read the book and give this one another go.

Or maybe not.

"What Happens In Vegas"

It was funny. I started watching it thinking I would hate it but I didn't. The ending was very predictable.

Seabiscuit- Jeff Bridges, Tobey Maguire.
Today's choice was to find a "feel-good" film and Seabiscuit delivered in spades.
A horse (and jockey) with heart energize a nation coming out of the grip of the Great Depression...kind of like today, actually.
Not completely historically accurate, the film nonetheless has a keen eye for period detail, good acting and intimate racing scenes.
Everybody ends up happy- including me- and sometimes, that's all you need from a movie.
