Movieworld's Lost & Found

Could any anime buffs help me with this one?

I remember watching an anime were there was this boy who belonged to gang and he meets this super girl who's escaped from a Akira style special child institute who can turn into a robot, It devolops from there. It's really long (Must be 4 hours possibly a mini series turned into a film) and the story changes loads. It was also very gory, I remember a bit were the girl is running away with some children and they get their heads blown to bits (Graphic too). Very nasty and had a naked child too at one point.Shocked it was on T.V it was on at like 4 in the morning.

Another one was a about a two waring kingdoms ( style) and it begins with a young soldier and a kind of smart trickster Anime stereo type behind enemy lines. There is alot of fighting in giant mechs that look like "Iron Man" which they dig up from the ground. It's obviously high budget and the animation is top notch. I remember it being very good. I think it might be one of Miyazaki's lesser knowen ones.

The first one sounds a bit like SaiKano, but that's a series...

Is the second one Escaflowne the Movie? Or perhaps Five Star Stories?

The first might be it. The story seems about right. I just remember it being utterly disgusting and seemed to lack any moral bounds, I just checked on IMDB it isn't right.

Same with the other one, Not quite right. I have a feeling I might need to use an Anime board or site. Very nice try though.

You could try and ask danne, he's a member here and knows far more about anime than me.

A problem here is that there are 3 films with Rob Lowe that are similar to what you ask for :unsure:
