Setting it to 50 sources as well turning off sharing did prob. did help :D
my max speed 5.7kbs on 56k
Sometimes with a popular mp3 I've gotten in the 80s, but being an mp3 it only lasts a minute or so. On larger files I'm lucky to get 5, and on average I seem to get like 0.5.
I think once I got 130 on something for a brief moment...I know it's not my connection limiting it, because I've gotten much faster speeds off ftps and websites.
The highest I've ever downloaded at was like 90 kb/s. I ususally get less than that though. I have a 768k connection.
I got 400KB/s on a ,on a 1.5Mbps cable connection, download for like half of it and then it dropped to around 170KB/s.

My second highest is 374KB/Sec.
IMHO ........unless u have a T1......anything beyond 1000K is pretty much impossible......
my standard is 300K, with it maxing out around 350K - 360K.......and that's on a cable line with NOBODY else on it but me :D :P
highest peak i've ever gotten was 412K....and that lasted about 2 mins....
yeah, i'd say i'm one of the fastest.... :P

I think my highest was 50 or 60 on a 256k DSL connection with no other web programs running and a popular file with at least 10 sources.
