Yawn, they've been open for weeks now, and plenty of new folks are being accepted each day. Posting this here was pointless and could simply lead to invitation applications being closed again (example: two months ago where someone leaked that FSC was accepting applications again and they were promptly closed).

If you love lossless so much, join Pedro's... becoming an uploader there will help your case much more than a request thread here will.

quantity of loudspeakers is to say at least, secondary to the quality of sound. and definitely, playing sound, mastered for stereo systems (and 99% of cd's are like that) is optimal on.. guess what? 2.0 system

Depends on your ears. The only way you'll tell for yourself is doing an ABX (double blind) test of FLAC files v.s. V0 files to a point of statistical relevance.

Ps. Invites are on and off, if you like flac, go to pedros, much more variety, and a friendly place for noobs. e its all about old guys ;)

You download either an ABX program or a plugin (I know they exist for foobar and winamp). You pick a FLAC and a V0 file of the same song. It then gives you a window with a button for A, B, and X. Either A or B is the MP3, and the other is FLAC. X is also either the MP3 or the FLAC. You can listen to small clips of A, B, and X multiple times, and then you choose whether the A clip or the B clip is the same file as the X clip. You repeat this (generally either 16 or 25 times) and you'll receive a result (say, 13/25), along with its statistical relevance. For example, if you get 16/25 it's much more likely due to random luck than if you got 23/25.
