Do I consider myself a collector? Not really. I think it's prudent to have backups for a few reasons, including both site shutdowns and dispersal of rare content. I certainly don't join every site possible. Some of the sites are also relics from my earlier days of torrenting where sites with less content were generally replaced with sites with more content as I received some invites. I refrained from naming names since the e-peen thing is kinda lame, but my favourite sites are always music sites since I know a fair bit about audio encoding, equipment, and music in general, and never get tired of looking for new bands :)
What's the other beta?
Mainly the sites that have some kind of community
about 8 sites left now but that's plenty some of them never downloaded anything just use it for their Irc and forums
