Seriously Tragic heroes contain a flaw in their personality and although Macbeth did have certain good qualities at the beginning, his personality was flawed and it was this that led to his destruction. He was to easily persuade to kill King Duncan by his wife. All she had to do was threaten his manhood, ‘When you durst do it, then you were a man.’ She says that he isn’t such a brave strong man that everyone see’s him as, and that he will only ever be a man in her eyes if he kills Duncan. He was also to easily manipulated by the three witches on there second visit. They tell him that ‘no man born of women may kill Macbeth’ tricking him into thinking he is immortal.
