Personally, I prefer an uncircumcised male. I won't go into details  but there is more to play with!!!! lol.
I particularly feel that such surgery should only be done if there is a medical reason for it.
@Hobbes The desensitisation is brought about through the rubbing of the glans on fabric etc, not necessarily through thickening of the skin. Female circumcision often also includes the removal of outer and inner labia which can be likened to the 'extra' skin of the foreskin.
Choice is the key here methinks...perhaps it should be done once a 'man' (key word) makes the choice and has had the opportunity to give informed consent. A baby is incapable of such choices and therefore should not have it removed because others think it is a good idea. The lack of choice is the area of equivalence in circumcision for both sexes.
It is a cultural/religious practice not a health one.
@7th Likewise we no longer need our appendix (I recommend automatic removal at birth to prevent possible problems later!!!) perhaps we could just chop off all the little bits we don't think we need now we wear clothes!! Hmmm do we need our earlobes, nahhhhh...lets chop em off!!! How about the removal of women's breasts immediately after puberty is done....I mean now that most women don't breastfeed, maybe it would be a good cancer preventative...
Agreed 100% :)
