Bruce Dern as Clocker would be a bit too, ah...frenetic, I think.
Clocker presents as possibly the most physically (and, to a great extent, emotionally) languid person I know.
More of a John Malkovich type.
I am very pleased with my new screen personna, thank you very much.
J'Pol? (Rowan Atkinson, in Blackadder mode, of course).
And yourself: Can we somehow meld Leonard Nimoy and Peter Sellers?
I'm thinking of a kind of "Dr. Strangelove on quaaludes" quality.
I will defer to you on the best assessment of Clocker. You have a more complete data set. Perhaps a fusion between Bruce Dern and a three toed-sloth would be spot on.

Sloths are slow-moving solitary animals, which live their lives in the canopy of the forest. Their difficult cellulose-rich diet means that they need complex stomachs to help digest it, and they also have very low metabolic rates and reduced muscles to exist on a low-energy diet. They only descend the trees once a week to urinate and defecate, and communicate through scent.
John Malkovich is too self absorbed and vain for my taste.
As for myself, I question the logic of your suggested fusion. I see myself as more of a George Carlin-type skeptic.

Fortunately, I don't look like him.
A good man with a stick, is he? :DQuote:

How could I consent to be portrayed be a man whose daughter was once married to Geraldo Rivera?
I do envy him his wild head of hair and his ability with a cigarette, however. :D

I agree whole-heartedly with your self-assessment.
Another option might be Lewis Black, unless you reject him also on the basis of his looks.
I don't look alot like James Earl Jones, but, there you have it: if James Earl is willing, so am I.
Clocker's demeanor is Malkovich, albeit without the snobbery; Clocker is very engaging.
