Best TV series ever? Buffy. No doubt, it's Buffy. Joss Whedon is a master of words and emotion.

Currently on air however, I'd probably say Supernatural, Prison Break or Veronica Mars. Tough call. Lost I loved in it's first season, but over time I've mellowed out about it. Still fun to watch, but not amazing. More frustrating.
