3dmark 03 is best-made for directx9 cards...
mx440 doesnt run directx9 well...
try 3dmark01
Well I dont know what my scores were without the overclock in 3d01 lol...oh well ill run both and tell ya the diff...
Is my card really running that fast?
could be.....
first of all read what it says there
you can mess up ur card this way...be careful...Quote:
Use caution when adjusting these settings
what mx440 you have? 8x or 4x? SE? SE-T?
Its an SE, and PCI
I dont think I could get my card up that high..it just has a small heatsink..I do have 3 fans blowing right on it though..but still thats a HUGE increase...but thats what the software says its at.
Ok I got 1731 with it overclocked alot and 1696 on stock settings. For that much of an overclock thats not many more points....
1731 with that? oh wait...u have a 533 celeron, right?
just wondering cuz i get 4000+ in 3dmark 01
yes that is correct, but with an overclock of that much shouldnt it be better?
dont think so...
in my opinion (from my experience)... benchies have to do A LOT to do with the computer you got..... cpu & ram...
lotsa ppl say it doesnt matter...but it matters to me :)
Your right on this, Your best piece of hardware is only as good as your worst piece.Quote:

MY MX 440 in my signature would blow away a 9800XT in your Celeron setup Dawg on alot of tests, because your CPU/Ram are killing your scores.
thats all you managed for an overclock, damn i have a super small heatsink, and no fans blowing on it and i managed to get 350 core and 425 memory and mine runs perfectly stable. after i get my new case and stuff ill increase the speed. so you should be able to get much higher then that without hurting the cardQuote:

What did you guys use to overclock your card with?
that gay ass nvidia properties thing....that sux0rs lol
Was I the only person out there who got a fan with their MX440? Its a leadtek, the fan is super quiet and very effecient, card is cool and stable, and the HDDs make more noise than it does
(Im more wasted than i thought I had a mental block on how to spell noise and ended up putting a z instead of the s :D)
lol i had 3 80MM fans blowing right on my card haha
nah my card just came with a....omg i forgot the name lol.....oh yea heatsink :DQuote:

NOO I can overclock it more..I just figured since I got THAT high with no probs it wasnt even working..I guess I can go higher...Ill try your setup.
try it at 320 and 400 first, then go play a game for an hour, if no artifacts so up then go higher, mine stays pretty low cuz my room is freezing all the time
I put mine on what yours is on. I got 1793 on 3DMark01
you can prolly hit 450 on the memory, try that. i just raised mine
you might get another 15+ points in 3dmark01
watch it man....dont ruin the cards.... you're about to get a new one and should keep the other as backup....
Why?? lol
i jus thought i wud do a test sinse all u guys are doing em....
1467 in 3dmark2001 SE tht is soo crappy i cant wait until i benchmark tomo...

what the hell is that? dont see any place on my mobo where it goes
Hahaa my wrist look so fat in that pic...duno what..oh well...i think its cuz i was holdin the case with one arm and that little cord with the other ...it was heavy
you dont need it...mine doesnt plug into my mobo either
can I have wires touching the bottom of my PSU?
i think so as long as it dont get caught in the fan....can i have a piece of tape tape on the side of my psu? planning to tape my uv cathode wires along side the psu so the wire isnt visible....would the tape melt?
Yes dawg, your wrist looks alarmingly fat.Quote:

I'd have it checked by a medical professional right away.
And lay off the Whoppers.
BTW, the plug you are (were) holding is used on Intel boards.
Ignore it.
Elmo, I dont think the tape would melt if you used high quality duct tape, i just felt the side of my PSU (PC's been on an hour) and it was only mildly warm, but check how hot yours gets before trying anything
Hey big dawg, as I was reading around on the internet I found that the newer bartons have their multiplier's locked, so I think that yours will be too. So what will you do then? I think you should start a new thread about just that new topic either here and in another forum(s) to see what kind of advice you get.
Yah I know the multipliers are locked. Just up the FSB ....dur dur lol
Whats really the diff between moving the multiplier and FSB?
I dont plan to overclock for a while newayz prob.
Oh and when I flex you cant pull any fat off my forearm...so I duno why it looks so fat haha...a little extra fat help when I lay people out :D
Actually, you don't know that at all.Quote:

Yah I know the multipliers are locked.
You're assuming that your chip is hot off the factory floor in Malaysia when in fact it's probably much older.
I've seen how you can read the code on the chip to determine it's week of manufacture...if you're curious you might do a google search and find out if your Barton is locked or not.
If it is you're going to need to unlock it before you can OC at all, because just upping the FSB doesn't give you many options.
hold on what? Its at 11 multiplier stock and people have just put it at 200X11....what do you mean it doesnt give me many options???? I can just up the FSB like 3Mhz at a time..what the diff between that and moving the Multiplier
Whats the diff between 200X11 and 183X12???
I JUST KILLED ME A SQUUUIRL LOL
when i was walking in from killing the squirl...my graphics card was here! hahahaha
And it appears that the L1 bridges on my card are defenintly NOT cut...so I can adjust them. BUTT at the bottom of the page it says if your serial number is above a certain number then it probably is locked or something...and my serial number is above that..so one way i can adjust them and the other i cant.
^^^^^^ A little help up there. The L1 bridge is NOT cut...but the serial number is above the thing the website says is locked..so i duno which to believe
Heres a pic of my setup right now. The 2 fans in the front are intake and the 2 in the back are exhaust. :D
ok..I was gona show a pic but sighost.us wont let me right now..hm...oh well ill post a pic here when it works...
