but the system is not without bugs and drawbacks
torrents at Iplay are very poorly seeded once they are older than 6 months or so
i once downloaded a 5 GB file which had only 3 seeders so very very low speeds
it took me 7 days to complete the DL,
but the Iseed system compensated me only for 30% of the filesize (as only 30% was finished in 5 days)
i kept seeding, but the ratio took a hit :(
safe to say, IPlay is good only if you look for torrents not older than 6 months
for anything older, Filelist has much better speeds
When you add systems like that to help people avoid ratio trouble, retention tends to decrease. When people are done with that torrent (seeded for 72 hours, got a 1:1 ratio), some will stop and delete it, as if they keep on repeating the cycle they'll be fine as long as the rules are concerned. Although ideally they should seed as much as they can - since that will make the torrent live longer and they won't be "stealing" others' ratios anyway. Sadly, there's no silver bullet, and you can't please everyone.Quote:
