Re: Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday ungiveaway/I have a dream
Someone is going to give some good use to HD specialized trackers. :whistling
Re: Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday ungiveaway/I have a dream
Not me I'm giving up my seedbox in a month or 2 and 60 GB total traffic from my regular IPS doesn't really cut it.
I figure with the money on save on the seedbox I'll just buy any blu-rays that I'm interested in .
Of course the only problem then is I probably won't be able to find all the old,non-mainstream shite that I like but I was fine before without it so little loss.:idunno:
The internet in Canada totally sucks btw.
Nice TV thought isn't it? Got the best picture this side of plasma but truthfully I really got it for the cool factor.:blushing:
Wasting my money on an overpriced home theatre sound system next. :yup:

Damn right.
60GB per month  I couldn't survive with such a low limit.
Aren't there any decent ISP upgrades? It could more than compensate upgrading instead spending money on media.
I pay 27€ per month, internet plus phone, unlimited traffic without shaping.

I pay $60 and the highest residential limit in my area is 120GB for $100 .If I wen to a business service I could get unlimited for $200+ but even then the upolad is only 2Mbs:dabs:.
I accidentally left my home computer on overnight last month and inadvertently uploaded an extra 20 GB and it cost me $25 extra.
See why ratios at trackers are stupid.Live in certain countries and you can be the worst wank and appear like a terrific member.Live in someplace like Canada or Australia and you have to try and explain that you are using the tracker to the best of abilities.

The problem si that everyone asks for the same thing ( FTN/FSC/ to a lesser degree SCC) just because they see an opportunity and not becuase it has anything with their particular interests.
Of the ones I've given out there are a couple that I am extremely happy that they came forward( the purpose of this thread) because they are iseriously good people and imo will be far better members than I could ever hope to be.
My biggest disappoint ( and I'm not knocking the people that have applied ) is the aforementioned colourless uniformity of requests. Not one for something non-exclusive or really interesting.
Also to restate for anyone late to the thread I'm not currently a member of any HD sites ( having only recently purchased an LED myself
http://www.samsung.com/ca/consumer/t...ail&returnurl= and I also don't belong to any "really exclusive " music trackers because my encoding skills begin and end with Easy CD Extractor so don't bother asking me for any.
I understand where you are coming from...Completely. It really was out of curiosity. Creativity and real thought go along way and is seen on rare occasions...
I also now understand why we pass each other in the hall frequently amongst sites. I too don't belong to any HD sites, yet I own a HDTV as well. I have HD cable service but have neglected to get the proper connections to view HD quality from computer to TV...One day, maybe sooner than later. And for music trackers...Not a member of any either. I always find what I'm looking for publicly for the most part...

You should definitely move on to the newsgroups or to an yearly rapidshare account for 55 € (with your limits, I'd go without a blink to rapidshare premium). If I was in your conditions I wouldn't hesitate, most probably.
I was an avid newsgroups user many years ago, when my ISP counted my upload towards my traffic limit, and it was the best choice I ever made. Pity back then TS wasn't available.
Re: Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday ungiveaway/I have a dream
I know that either of those options is the way to go ,especially since I mainly download movies and games ( a bigger hit on both download and upload than music) but as lame as the people tend to be it is I do like the social part of bt.No one gives you there opinion of anything or makes you laugh on RS.
That said I think it would be sort of pointless to maintain myself of various sites if all I did was post/lurk there.

Isn't it what many "reputable" people do? :whistling Aren't there sites built upon that idea?
This way you could still frequent most of the sites and keep with the BT gossip, while comfortably downloading your stuff from RS or newsgroups, and don't give a shit if you get banned or not. :yup:
