Re: VB3.5 Bug Reporting Thread
Maybe this might sorta explain it:
Quote:
This option controls how threads and forums are marked as read.
1. Inactivity/Cookie Based - once a user has been inactive for a certain amount of time (the value of the cookie timeout option) all threads and forums are considered read. Individual threads are marked as read within a session via cookies.
This option is how all versions of vBulletin before 3.5 functioned.
2. Database (no automatic forum marking) - this option uses the database to store thread and forum read times. This allows accurate read markers to be kept indefinitely. However, in order for a forum to be marked read when all threads are read, the user must view the list of threads for that forum.
This option is more space and processor intensive than inactivity-based marking.
3. Database (automatic forum marking) - this option is the same as a previous option, but forums are automatically marked as read when the last new thread is read.
This is the most usable option for end users, but most processor intensive.
We're on number 3, it used to be number 1 which never worked properly...
Re: VB3.5 Bug Reporting Thread
sometimes "efficient evolutionary upgrades" are not the wisest
seems a little bit complex solution if you ask me
definetly not reliable
ill probably get used to it....
Re: VB3.5 Bug Reporting Thread
Not really a bug, but the "board rules" link is missing on the "default" skin.

Less important/Nothing can do about yet:
- No arcade (Release Soon!)
- Default skin missing links at the top
- Poll section does not have "make poll" marked as default
- Remove the 'Options, Quote message in reply?' line in quick reply box
- Nested Quotes hack needs to be made
:)
Re: VB3.5 Bug Reporting Thread
You don't actually expect me to read the first page, do you?
Alright, I missed it. You can delete both posts now.
Re: VB3.5 Bug Reporting Thread
In the default skin the "stickies" used to be in a sort of a table on their own at the top, but now they are just on top of the main list of posts.. (if that makes any sense)

Thanks, forgot about that.
Re: VB3.5 Bug Reporting Thread
- 'Pre-defined Generic Avatar' pictures don't work.
- 'double click title to edit it' doesnt work for mods.
when you double click a thread title you get the edit box but then it opens the thread so you can't edit the title :(
