In your world, I'm sure stealing a Microwave is exactly the same as downloading a movie.
However, in the real world, the place I live, the two practices are entirely different. For example, one is directly taking money out of someone's pockets and the other is nothing of the sort, it's watching a film or listening to a CD that otherwise, I'd never have bothered with.

By the way, my main cause of mirth is not about the stealing thing, it's the lengths you go to in order to save a couple of quid. To me, I'd never even entertain the thought of sneaking my missus into a cinema or buying her a child's ticket.
