well this incident would prove that relying on rep points dont help either. I dont have many rep points but have traded with a few people, one of which was for a sct invite.i could easily bump up my rep points and post count if i wanted to.

You need to read into a members posts, the type of trades his done and with whom they have done and even then for torrent like sct rely on your insticts/luck .

Rep points dont work only because people give reps to others for handing out free invites.. It is easy to get rep points this way. It is how that Pwer guy managed to fool a lot of people in one night! :ermm:

ya.. most of the times it is the condition of the free invite giver " give me a rep point and I will send u invite"
but if we in case of Servenet... reps for free invite was not the case...he was a good trader.. never scamming..but what he did with the invites/account afterwards that caused the trouble...

If I had a rep point 4 every time I gave a free invite....:whistling

Servernet was a one off case.. There could not be many here who would do the same. I hope people stop asking reps for free invites.. Afterall, it is their act that counts.. not the adulation and pat on the back that follows. :)

lol what this guy did is a WAY different from cheating and so he was a good trader just sold invites..
