Seedbox Non owner and Owner FAQ

It is said here that one of the advantages of using a seedbox is to get your home IP out of the swarm. But if you use a seedbox then your seedbox IP will in the swarm and that has your name on it right? So wont it be just as easy to track you down wether you use home connection or seedbox?

I plan to get a dedicated server and setup my own seedbox for use in long term. i plan to buy Windows Server because I don't know anything about Linux

May I know how can I setup the utorrent in the box? is it upload it via FTP or how? Thanks

If i can give u an advice. Even if u dont know Linux, choose it.
U can easily follow this guide ( or part of it ) and have a great server running 24/7.

I say that because i have 2 servers... one win2003 and one linux.
The win2003 crashes due to memory and harddrive use sometimes.

The linux one is smooth since the day it was born :01:

4th 0 Do I need Control Panel, KVM (Extra port to manage server), Plesk, cPanel (Unlimited) etc....?

If you share your server with a friend you are able to seed on the same tracker and not having any problems.
