Probably not the best show but Men of a Certain Age was gone too soon.

My vote for both "Deadwood" & "Carnivàle" (Both were on HBO)

All of Milch's shows get killed prematurely. Luck gets the axe, and poor Dennis Farina has no more reason to live. Though Justified is kind of like Deadwood 1.5. Sorta.
