Alright...The CPU seems to want to run to hot.
I am thinking we send the cpu back and the mobo and get a new mobile 2500 and the abit nf7-s. That way the chip might run cooler and the board will work fine.

maybe before that try updating the bios to the latest version maybe there are some compatibility problems fixed in the latest?
we r goin to go with the Abit
there has been more success with the Abit, so we get that

abit's got more OCing options anyway (from what i've heard).

Remember the Abit will also report temps higher then your Asus (which apparantly reports low)
we r switchin the CPU and gettin the XP M 2400
ive seen more systems with that cpu, so is it better to get a 45 watt or a 35 watt
on the abit board how much is the difference in temps? and will speed fans detect cpu temp right?

Consider getting the Mobile 2600+.Get it from www.excailberpc.com - it has a confirmed stepping.Quote:

The case is beautiful, and is VERY strong.
Alright, we will be returning the Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe and the Mobile 2500XP
We will be getting the Abit NF7-S and the 35watt Mobile 2400XP. Hopefully we will have it by wensday and we can get it up to 2.5Ghz
