fyi FTN was censored for a long time here to F**, it wasnt me who decided to censor it, but i got used to it so i began censoring it myself :)

and about the confusions with the asterisks, i think the people who have the sites/ can afford the sites already know what they stand for, and the people who dont know probably dont afford to get the sites and hence dont need to know. on another note, you dont really need the url/name of the site until you join, and when you get someone to invite you, it will be displayed in the email. knowing the name/url doesnt help one at all unless he is able to access the site.
this list is not meant to popularize the sites among the unknowing people, far from that, its only meant to display their estimated rarity to the people who already know them. ;)

uk-t should definitely rank higher than sct and tb, but the 5 rating is the limit so theres nowhere higher left to go. so for the moment it'll just remain there... ppl who can afford uk-t already know its value anyway

Was this a few days ago, maybe two weeks or so? At this time, a good friend of mine offered me an invite for free but i was not interested. The site was not to my liking, so probably i do not understand why so many users want to become a meber there. Maybe one day i will...
Also i want to say that there was a spell in the beginning of this year where signups at TB were open, i signed up but enjoyed spending time with my gf in the summer instead of logging in there on a regular basis so they pruned my account. Like a lot of other trackers did as well.
I think that it's a good idea to rate the different trackers here even though i cannot follow all the time (like **-*). What's the sense in being a member of a smaller community with a limited amount of torrents, are the releases so well-picked?

Well, i have to admit that i forgot about most BT sites last summer. Seems that i really had luck with FB, FL and even FTN because they had open signups and somebody invited me to FTN without even requesting it. How could i know that one day it's so hard to get back in there? A few other sites pruned my acc even though i was still seeding there all the time. At that time i thought that seeding was "being active"...

Interesting question, it's a French one. What about the German ones? The German TS is not even small, they are invite only. Every PU gets 4 invites and after one year membership another 2. In case the invitee becomes PU, the inviter gets another invite. In case the invitee was a bad apple, the inviter gets nothing back. But one could lose one's account there in case the invitee gets caught cheating.

Maybe BitmeTV should be a 3.5, cause it's certainly harder to get (at least it was for me) to get BitmeTV than Bitme or Oink.

Don't forget that this list is just a guideline. Some people had to work a little harder for invites than others. I picked up my BitMeTV for nothing, but had to give up a KG invite for Bitme. Speaking of KG, it's rated here a 3.5 but based on content, I'd rate it much higher (Just a plug to build interest, it seems to be working for Snowtigers!)

swedvdr should be raised up at least half a point because the cost to purchase invites from the shop went from 10p to 40p which makes it much harder to get invites. not only that, they also raised the user class requirement to buy them. lol i even reserved an invite a couple weeks ago, but they took it away and refunded my points when they changed the prices.

No offense, but I think this thread is moot for those who are really invovled in the community of private trackers. I know most of those trackers and i know the staff involved in quite a few of them. Ranking them based on how "difficult" they are to trade for de-preciates the value of each site. For example, the staff of U*-* is great, but i wonder how many people would actually trade a specialty site like oink or bitme or bitmetv for another 0day tracker. The idea of each individual 0day tracker is that so there are enough so people who want to join or are new have a chance. Trading "ALL THESE OTHER SITES" for any of those four lettered ones for the sake of "i am in it!" is kind of moot since the average user probably will not use more than 2 0day trackers for their needs.

I agree. i dont want any other trackers except for going up the chain to the best 3 sites (not u***) .

Indeed, even though I am a member of a few of the rating 5 sites, BitMeTV is still my favourite tracker, because I simply love TV :)

All most people need is Oink, BitmeTV and a 0-Day tracker. Thats all I use.

that's all you use, but there are 0-day's that are available on one tracker and not on another (at least not the same day). if you're just a user you still need 2-3 good 0day plus whatever specialised tracker you like (btw, learnbits and bitspyder and docs.torrents.ro have different stuff on them, even if after 2-3 weeks you will find on learnbits what was on docs early and vice versa)

i use only Iplay And TL!

This list isn't about how good the sites is. I Prefer torrentleech, but with over 100.000 users it's pretty easy to get in.

WB should probably be in the 4 level now.
