yeah, but when you pay 80/euros setup fee you expect a bit better service than paying 0 setup. 2 weeks is kind of a joke compaired to leaseweb (typically 24hrs or less) and they have free set up as well

i own a server and if any one need to barrow some space for a decent cost let me know.
pm me. with details.
hmmm, weird, i got the 48euro vps deal, with win2003 coporate and got the server within 48 hours as promised.. speed is great for vps, i have got up to 8mb/s a few times, no complaints, support is quite fast, within 24 hours... maybe dedicated servers are different..
Could a mod please sticky this thread? It's really useful.
somebody have a server on keyweb?
May be this is offtopic, but...
I think that everybody loves the torrents cause they are free. If I have $60 I will buy legal copies of my favorite music and movies or make donation to some tracker instead buying seedbox. That's my opinion.
Good idea on the sticky, definetly the best guide so far on dedicated hosting options for torrent boxes that I've read on the net yet :)
Thanks for the info ..Not considering to get one or what so ever..just good to know :p
i thought about that. but look it at like this.
i got a server for $80 and within the first week i had already uploaded 600GB and downloaded about 100GB or more.
this gives me a great ratio on the site to d/l more stuff and not worry about bad ratio.
for me, i do it because my upload speed at home is pathetic (25kB/s) and i needed some upload stats. i uploaded 300GB to one site on 2 torrents in under 3 days. that would have been 6GB on my home line at full speed.
for $80 i could a few cds, maybe 4 dvds, 2 games.
that gave me about a 800GB buffer for downloading in a week.
thats 200 dvdr's.
just my 2 cents. :-D
hi im new in all this seedboxs stuff.
im looking for seedbox with big upload speed  .
i guess 100mb.
edit: i have something like 15$-35$.
Leeware.com $15/month. 100Mbit.
anyone heard of corenetworks.net , they got some good offers coming up soon and im interested , but just wondering if anyone has tried them before
Somebody heared about Terminal?
its like seedbox?
I would also suggest leaseweb... We have quite a few servers there.. Excellent service and top notch servers!
Can be anonymous as well if you wish.
Guys I got a seedbox , but I have a problem with the Script , CONFIG file
any one can help me please.
wow......sweet ty for this thread
 that explains why i'm transfering stuff (15Gig) home at a steady 128kB/s all afternoon, you bandwidth hog :P
the highest upload speed that i've seen 890kB/s and down 1800kB/s though its possible its been higher, and for $25 its not so bad.
the only thing i would say is if anyone has never used linux, like me, i would either stick with a windows box or be prepared for a steepish learning curve :)
whats the fastest way to download of ur server. i use ftp but not great speed im using leeware
thats right my isp speed is at least 1-1.5mb im downloading at 20kb/s?
Use a program called Internet Download Accelerator. Like any download accelerator it downloads using multiple threads, but it also is capable of doing this for FTP transfers also. I've been using it for a while to transfer from seedboxs that I only get around 200k/s from with a single download. Using it I am able to max out my connection at 1.2mb/s
i am in india, can i purchase a seedbox and use it well? i am interested in leeware $25
Of course, you need only a credit card.
what is the simple things that i should know to use seedbox using linux system ...by the way i dont know anything about linux ,,,,so i need something easy to get the seedbox work ......................
if you dont know anything about linux dont buy linux, you will have a hard time with it unless you have a good friend that will help you out and wont steal your info when he sets it up for you ;)
which ya'll recommend, install tf or azureus or utorrent(using wine)
on leeware package 15usd..??
on leeware, just do it simple, install TorrentFlux, it will be more than enough
ive done up to 8 torrents going 3 days straight
the 15 dolllar one
I've had Leaseweb for the past 4 months and performance has been stellar. Full 100mbps anytime I want it and plenty of routes so there is never a bottleneck to a certain region or country. Leaseweb is awesome but make sure you know what you're doing with your server. Their customer service is horrible and if you fuck up your box then you have to wait 2-3 days for them to respond and then pay about 50 EUR per half-hour for them to fix it. The good thing is, you get an APC remote reboot port so if your server crashes you just log in and power cycle instead of having to open a support ticket.
leaseweb has some really good deals. you need to check their site every day.
in November i got a 1.6GHz Xeon, 73GB SCSI HDD, 512MB RAM, 500GB transfer for 39 EUR.
this month I got an Athlon 64 3000+, 160GB SATA HDD, 512MB RAM, 1000GB transfer for 39 EUR.
Could someone please help me.
I have set up torrentflux on leeware but I cannot download from trackers which have the announce url on a port other than 80.
Trackers include: TorrentLeech, Oink, x264.
Instead when I try to download or upload from one of the mentioned trackers, the torrent stalls on "Connecting to Peers."
Can someone please tell me the solution to this.
Thanks in advanced.
:D
these three trackers need the torrent to be downloaded from the same IP you are downloading them from. i.e you cannot download the torrent from lets say your home internet in UK and upload to a Leeware server in USA.
so wat's solution ????
im pretty sure thats not true.
i've used my leeware server for oink before, and i'm pretty sure i've used it for TL.
yeah leeware works fine for oink and tl, though for other trackers that use the
ip based system, rather than a passkey this is very useful.
you install this on your leeware box, and use it as a proxy server. also useful for those who like dupe accounts
