I have NOD32, that has a 100% detection rate since 1998, and I use Azureus and it never has gived me a warning about it, so that should be a fake warning. ;)
Also use Spybot, Ad-Aware, SpywareBlaster and none gave me a warning about Azureus...

Azureus doesn't have spyware, you would have heard alot of complaints about it if it were.
Downloading spyware from Sourceforge. Not impossible, but also not very likely.
Azureus is clean...Spybot and Ad-aware dont detect anything
imo azureus is clean but on occasion java updates can cause my av to react, but thats about it.
Perhaps you should run a full system scan, you might be infected and its showing up through azureus.
Otherwise, I don't have a clue sorry

enter your details in the top 2 boxs and do what it says in all the boxes below and your all set ;)
How do I get rid of those pop-up messages that appear at the bottom right hand side when I open azureus??
Well, give more of a description, there are a few different reasons those will pop up... if it says something about Unup, just go to options --> plugins --> unup --> then uncheck it
Just use the HIde button.
I'd be most grateful if any Azureus users could offer the benefit of their experience. I've been using it for the the first time to download a big music torrent (2.58gb), which wouldn't open with BitTornado, which i normally use.
Just got home and I think it's downloaded okay- it says 100%, and it's moved down from the leeching to the seeding window, but it's stopped seeding saying 'error-data missing'. Playing some files at random, it all seems intact. It's taken a big dent out of my ratio at Oink, so I'd like to be seeding it now, but not sure how to restart it, and don't want to do anything that might mess up the files I've downloaded. Any advice gratefully received.
Have you tryed downloading the torrent-link again then try reseeding it?
I dont know if it will work.
hey guys, it seems that any torrent i am downloading that isnt under the forced download option, stays grey for absolutely ages, and simply doesnt download.
i was wondering if there was an explanation to this..
thanks :)

well, it could be that the path and filename is too long...
you saved it probably in a sub sub sub directory where the original torrent already was having sub dir's and a pretty long name...?
just a guess
It says they added this functionality in a recent version, but I can't find it.I expect that it's a global setting, but where is it? What I really want is to be able to set this individually for each torrent, but I guess that's too much to hope for when it comes to Azureus. ABC kicks Azureus' ass in that regard.Quote:
Ability to stop seeding after a given share-ratio is reached (at least 1)
yea..that happens to me too. i just put every dl to force DL and they do dl. it does what its supposed to i guess
i think auto priorty and seeding rules decide how many torrents will queue, forced download just over-rides those configurable rules
put the exact text in google and maybe you can find it
I did, but no dice. I thought maybe someone over here knew how, but I'm starting to think it's not possible.Quote:

Thanks for the tip, but that's not at all what I'm looking for. Those of you who've used ABC know what I mean. You right-click a torrent in the list, select its properties, and set it to stop at a certain ratio. That's what I need in Azuerus. I can't use ABC anymore cause it crashed like 4000 times per day.Quote:

No more seeds perhaps?
Hi folks
Looking for a bit of help/advice with my Azureus problem. I have been using the program for a fair while with no probs at all, till now...... . Basically the following happens: I start up Azureus and everything works fine for a short while then for no apparent reason the program shuts itself down  The icon is still in the bottom right of the taskbar (the program itself is NOT running now though) until I mouse over it and it disappears. When I restart Azureus it tells me that it has not shut down tidily and to look up the Azureus Wiki for the term 'Azureus Disappears'. I have down this but cannot find a cure. This is causing majoer problems as I kick off downloads then leave my machine on to let them finish, however when i return I discover that Azureus has shut itself down shortly after I started it and I don't get my downloads:frusty: . This is particularly a problem if the torrent has an expiration date and I miss getting it. Any help would be VERY much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
ZC:)
Utorrent is the way forward.
Aternatively have you tried the old unistalling/uninstalling trick?
Utorrent isn`t good for me at all.. Too slow uploads, you can`t compare, how it was with BitComet and with Utorrent, so i`m using mid - Azureus, downloading is slower than usuall, but uploading is ok, i got problem sometimes, then azureus just freezes;[

Yeah done the old uninstalling reinstalling trick no joy unfortunately:(
try stopping it and then restart it, that should fix the percentage problem.
Just in case anyone's having trouble with NAT errors and this router (like I did for months), make sure you set up a static IP and then bind Azureus to your static address.....of course you also have to set up port forwarding on your router and create exceptions for any home firewall (including the one with windows XP).

ive seen a bunch of threads concerning this allready, read the tutorials and faqs.
im using azureus. i have a cable modem. no router of firewall. no nat errors. im download a 650 mb. file with 2 seeds and 2 peers and a download rate of 2-10 kbps
is this normal. 23 hours to download
and the program makes my internet browser. firefox run extremly slow
try uTorrent it's 100 times better than azureus easy and cool :)
www.utorrent.com
thanx man ill give it a try and post the results
but with your torrent there 2seeds and 2 peers , could really take long time, but for the problem with firefox, utorrent will solve it ;)
u torrent helped the firefox problems thanx
hey im new to the torrent buisnes and im using utorrent, it seems to be running exteamly slow. some told me it might be because of my ports. so i need info on how to open my ports so it might run faster?
Hi. I disabled several RSS feeds on my Azureus RSS Feed Scanner for a while. Now, I've rechecked the boxes to enable the feeds again, but the Scanner isn't connecting to the feeds. Instead, they're all set to "pending". I've tried restarting Azureus thrice and also rebooting my PC as a whole, but nothing is working. Anyone know what I can do to get it to connect properly to the feeds again?
Thanks!
I know this may have been posted before, but why are my dowloads on azureus listed in green, but stopped for the last 2 days on the same %download? They have not moved and do not show a DL speed. how can I correct this?
ok, Ill say it............how many seeders are there? I would guess 0?
I downloaded the latest version of Azureus from this site:
http://azureus.sourceforge.net/
Does anybody know if this is safe and clean with no malware or anything?
I haven't heard anything bad about this client...
