It's the fault of the players, well, some of them, that it always goes to penalties, because of their inability to score goals. I feel a teeny bit sorry for the underappreciated players who actually did try very hard, such as Roger Hargreaves, John Lennon and that giant beanpole, but the rest were just simply lacklustre. Or prats, like Rooney.
