Drum n Bass ! Help !
"Amon Tobin" & "Grooverider (Mysteries of Funk)" covers a lot of the load. And so Jazz really need to be in this poll too !
before i continue, i would like to say that the following is all about my taste of music, don't feel offended.
why don't make 2 new polls : 1 for Rock and 1 for the others ? Cause Rock rules on this forum, or is it the US ? Where i live, Rock is dieing in the elderly-home since the invention of electronical dance music and it has been a while (sorry for wrong spells).
what i really don't get with rock is this negative, melancholic, black, depressive, suicidal, bad, rough, mostly macho evil ambient, but as i know this should be for showing the truth about life in this world; that life is all that bad. But if you're getting angry because off a cruel life, why surround you with again the same ?
Ofcourse not all rock is negative (i hope).
But i like beats, rythm, bass, funk and i really don't like vocals. That's why i use to be a hiphop-dj for a decade, they don't sing .. they rap. But now their lyrics are just disturbing the (by the way) exellent beats (although they should rough it up more - thx Chuck D). But i've had it, with all the hiphop-scenes, their narrow visions and their one and only value : respect ... "please accept me, i bought all the right clothes", not even mentioning gangs.
sorry if you don't agree.
Musically i love HipHop, really can be art, but far too slow to channel all that massive energy out of your body. Rock for you maybe too, but not for me.
And Drum n Bass does it all for me, on every occasion.
thx for the nice replies :P :D :D :D
