I've heard good things, thanks for the recommendation. I'll be checking this out.

All time favorite is Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson.

Fight Club & Choke - Chuck Palahniuk
Shogun - James Clavell

Blood of Angels - by Michael Marshal

Tropic of Venus by Uri Adelman

Nobody has mentioned the dark tower series by Stephen King. It has a 'twist' at the end.
