Well, once again I voted YES on this subject. I see no reason why users can post a stupid, pointless topic in the Lounge, yet they can't start a stupid, pointless POLL. If it's as good enough topic, people will respond to it; if it's spam it'll be ignored and drop to the bottom of the topic list.

If the Mods are that worried about it causing trouble, then why not create a temporary 'Polls' sub-forum under the Lounge just to try it out for a while.
