You have to settle for the curiously over-priced stuff he's listing, so there :snooty:
Straight-up - those applications that I was "bragging" about are more like alternative apps for Linux than free apps for Windows. Linux programmers can't put price tags on their softwares, because Linux is all about distributing softwares for FREE and all about community... I actually use Pidgin on my Windows XP PC, because of its versatility... On my Linux PC and laptop, I actually use OpenOffice, Pidgin, and Photoshop (through Wine), because I love it better than Gimp.
As I said, it's all matter of choice. Use whatever floats your boat.

"Here kids, have a computer. Unfortunately, nothing works with it so you'll have to search the internets, which you don't have, to find ways to make stuff work"
Re: Don't Give Up On Vista
I bought a new HP that came with Vista Ultimate installed about 4 months ago. I've never seen an OS that hangs so often, and for no discoverable reason. Microsoft should not expect the public to be unwitting beta testers of their released final products.
Re: Don't Give Up On Vista
Don't give up on Vista it will work mostly fine in 9-12 months. :)

Stop typing FREE in upper case when you're talking pish.
You know it makes sence.
Re: Don't Give Up On Vista
I'm sure there are tons of good retorts, and I know there are good reasons for using linux as well. He's just not found any yet. Maybe 'cos he's a bit of a beginner, like.

I'd like to think that he'll one day find out what to use bold text for, like.
