Re: Happy Birthday BitmeTV
Lengthy? Is this what the internet has degraded to that a hundred or so words is considered lengthy?
As for my comments I was merely trying to impress on other people that certain concepts that you are presenting here might be ill-advised,short -sighted and/or selfish . That is my view at least and this being a forum setup to ( hopefully ) allow differing opinions to be expressed , and considering I am very much against the practice of partial seeding( of anything that isn't a pack )among other things that you championed here I thought I would post a counterpoint.I am sorry if you view that as some sort of ego-boosting personal attack .
I think if I desired to personally attack you or boost my ego I could find far better ways to do either.
Sorry for the length again .To make it more palatable in the future I will try to limit myself to lol and a happy face.

Well yeah, but its not really needed.
Do interesting vip-forums exist anywhere btw? I guess that depends on what interests you though .. :P (thinking of people that obviously find it interesting to post in those awful spam threads)
On the other hand posting with eg. an ftn avatar in the rate the avatar above you thread on scc is quite funny :D
How do you like the bday surprises so far?
/me likes them :)

Like most tracker birthday/anniversary "surprises" it is just an upgrade to certain features and is about improving the tracker and not ( as hinted at ) have truly anything to do with a birthday/anniversary or rewarding the members with anything.
Personally I couldn't care less if they "give" anybody anything but I hate when people ( staff that are simply improving the site - which forgive me if I'm mistaken is their job and members too apparently stupid to see the difference) crow like they actually have.
Re: Happy Birthday BitmeTV
Happy Birthday BitmeTV and congrats to Ibslice and the rest of the staff on keeping the site afloat for this long and may there be many more birthday's in the future for you guys.
Re: Happy Birthday BitmeTV
BMTV is a bitch to seed.
I really like BTN in comparison.:\
Re: Happy Birthday BitmeTV
^And how this post refers to the "Happy B-day BMTV"?
I don't understand these ppl's who says that BMTV is bitch to seed. Well, maybe it's bit hard, but everyone knows that and you should think twice before you accept an invite. It's stupid to complain about that after you got invited... :pinch:

If those stingy buggers give even 1gb as upload credit to all members, I'd consider it a miracle.

Also how sad that freeleech is viewed as some big reward when the ability for people to share content without consequence should be the goal of every tracker shouldn't it?

So true.
Seed boxs have killed this notion, if u dont have one u have to seed stuff for a year and build a small buffer before u can even start to think of leeching again.
Probably why they gave out some gigs rather than a freeleech that would be raped by seedboxes.

exactly, 10 days later an nothing has materialized. why even bother making an announcement when they're not going to follow through with it in a timely manner.
Because as it was posted in their forums - the announcement did not coincide with the OFFICIAL start date of bitmetv.

I think anon-sbi was being sarcastic but it is nice to see someone with a positive attitude like vince rather than the flamers

Nothing would have been done for the birthday if staff didn't push VERY hard to have them done according to the admins I spoke to in irc. Sounds like you are assuming and are very very wrong.
Well from what I can see according to the posts vs surprises - a lot of posters are now eating their words.
I much prefer something done than nothing and I think the slot and ratio boosts were a good idea as they were not seedbox orientated. A nice and original idea that was much fairer than any freeleech.
