I agree soulseek is awesome. Got all my family using it now also.

does anyone else notice that sometimes it just seems to hang up, return no results (when there has to be at least one) and get stuck initializing?

It's difficult to say why one users machine crashes and another works great, using SoulSeek. Sometimes it helps to get some help, as often your own configuration and other hassles such as firewalls (Zone Alarm) also gaming messengers such as Xfire, all these aspects can cause problems . Sometimes it's routers..On www.portforward.com there are great guides for nearly all routers you can imagine...Personal customised help you can find in the FileSharingTalk.com chat channel, on SoulSeek :)
