Got a case yet D?

On eBay*
Not that I need a new case. I have a Tj07, a Thermaltake DH-102 and my g5 case pretty much sitting collecting dust ATM until I decide to get off my ass and do something with them. If I did get a new case today I think I'd go with the Antec Super Lanboy.

That's an interesting case but I'd wager a disaster in real life.
With all the removable panels and 15 fans it probably rattles like a motherfucker.
I hate how they still insist on claiming "positive air pressure" using computer fans, which don't have enough static pressure to overcome normal air pressure even under lab conditions, much less a case full of mesh...
Also, it seems counterintuitive to include (and make such a big deal about) the "air suspension" for hard drives.
Anyone spending $200 on a case is going to be using SSDs, which need no special vibration abatement.
Anyone actually going to LAN parties doesn't need (and isn't willing to lug around) six mechanical drives.
The suspension mounting would have been better used on the opticals (another dying technology).
Why make it possible to mount the opticals sideways but not account for them opening?
Seems like the front panel should be interchangeable with the forward sidepanels.
How come the motherboard tray/backplane cannot be flipped side to side?
I'd much prefer that to the raising and lowering (to what end?) Antec provides.
For $200 I could build a nicer case than that.
TBH, I find it's more fun and challenging to work on cars.
The RX-7 with the Vette engine is running well, this spring we'll probably start on the RX-8.
Little bit more than just a dual processor server, I can see a huge SAS RAID card & two PCI-X SATA cards there as well so there are at least 3 RAID arrays plus the system drives and two power supplies to run the beastie, not exactly your average home media NAS box.
Well since no-one has shown any pics for a while I thought I would share some of the upgrade on my Mediacenter PC

Originally the PC was residing in the silver version of this case, the Silverstone LC16M but I have recently upgraded my home theater receiver and took
the opportunity to swap it out to the matching black version. One of the major reasons I like this case is the storage capacity, it can take a total of 7 3.5
drives plus card reader and the Rom drive and has optional cooling fans for the front of the 3.5 drive containers & each the two 3 bay 3.5's are removable.
On to the rest of the PC:
The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA- EG41MFT-US2H
RAM is 4GB of G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1333
The PSU is a thermaltake XP550 430w
The upgrades.
I originally had a Core2Duo E6750 dual core in but it seemed to be lagging on database tasks I have put in a Core2Quad Q8200
With the increased TDP of the new(ish) CPU the existing CPU cooler was not going to be up to the task. The existing one was an Arctic Cooling Alpine 11 pro
but I wanted a tower cooler to match the cooling layout of the case and also since it is a desktop case give better air pass through, but with the height constraints most tower coolers were out. In the end I went for a Deepcool Iceedge 200T and it has been keeping the CPU remarkably cool @ 17c over extended operation.
I upgraded the Graphic Card from an NVidia GT220 to the newer GT430 in this case the Gigabyte GV-N430OC because the extra cuda cores will help and the DB application uses DXVA
The other upgrade is a LiteON BH104 BD-Rom drive
The system is running Windows 7 64bit and using XBMC as the Hometheater application

i5-2500k, GTX 590, P8P67 Deluxe, SpinQ cooling, 8GB DDR3 Corsair, 1000W Silent Pro (nice choice, Bijoy!), NZXT Tempest case.
Finished building the beasty earlier on today, so taking a short break before I start the photography. Also, to the cabling nuts: Fuck you. They look fine.
GTX 590!! Awesome dude!!
Strangely enough franksurred on hardforums has an identical system to you bijoy, not only that but he took a picture of his PC at exactly the same angle and focal length as your one
http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?...pp=30&page=562
So fuck off and stop lying!
Maybe it's the same guy?
Yeah right, if you follow my link the proud owner is even in one of the photographs, and obviously isn't a teenage bittard with a known history of lying and cheating.
The pictures seemed hokie to me since the carpet in the background was two totally different types, I suspected he had simply grabbed images after doing a search. My search was evga 760 classified + coolermaster cosmos, which found the same images pretty quickly.
The complete setup is word for word identical to the specs in franksurred's signature.
If he isn't lying simply retake the same shot with a postit of his username here stuck on the case, that will end the debate, but in the meantime what a lying douchebag!
Well it's the same URL. The guy who posted it 12 months ago on HF claims it took a few years to build not 8 months :\
You misread, bijoy reckons the setup is 8 months old, he didn't mention a build time, so either by some truly remarkable coincidence they both have identical VERY high end gaming PC's, and they both managed to take the same shot from the same angle and focal length or option b bijoy is lying, now which do you pick ?
Guess I have. Still curious as to how you managed to find the exact thread it was posted in. Did you search for the URL?
Also, WTF is this, a oven?
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/5716/gameready.jpg
edit: Pretty sure I can see a receiver in it.
I'm starting to think it might be Bijoy:
http://www.team-wwa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5421
Halfway down the page, there are thumbnails all with the same pictures as Bijoy posted.
The 'oven' is a rackmount system with a Marantz SR5003 receiver a bluray player, HD DVD and a line conditioning unit at the bottom.
In answer to your other question no I did not search for the url I simply did an image search using the search criteria I mentioned before, et voila the same images magically appeared.
As I said before, if this truly is bijoy's rig, another shot of the the machine called 'fire' with a postit with bijoys username here on it will end the debate. Personally I don't think so, but then maybe it is just my suspicious nasty mind.....
lol, Did I ever mention that I use same nick everywhere?
1. Try your writting name trick at any private torrent trackers.
2. Please reserve your suspicious mind for the bt trackers.
3. Good job in finding me at hardforums. Now fuck off.
And for the country part: USA/India, its personal info. I do not bother to reveal anything at any public forum like this.
It is interesting that you are far more literate on the other forum you moderate on while here it seems that english is not your first language.
Also since you state that you live in the USA on WWA why did you make these two posts here ?

Will keep everybody (who cares) posted.
I wuv the internet sometimes ....
That's some rig indeed. With all the bling it would appear, for modesty sake perhaps, he removed the portable toilet/computer chair combo that should be part of this kind of set-up.
Edit: Since I'm in this thread, I'll share, and being to lazy to take a pic of my rig, I found a reasonable image off the net. No bragging or exaggerating here. Scout's honour.

Pretty hot stuff.. hmmmm....
I just bought a surge protector so had to turn the box off. I knew it would be a little dusty so took the cover off for a bit of spring cleaning. Didn't expect it to be this bad:

Don't judge me on the gfx card, BF3 has a few more months to go ;). Case is a Thermeltake V9 Black Edit and cable management is a joke :P. Might get some cable sleeves when I get my BD-RW (BH08LS20) and Gfx card (GTX 560?).
^^ It looks like its time to either change your furnace filter or comb your cat.

My other HTPC.
This is setup in the main bedroom and streams from the main home theater system (see previous post).
I have always liked Silverstone's designs, particularly the home theater systems but this case the ML02 is one I personally find very elegant.
Because this is a slimline case I opted for an integrated mini-itx solution, a Zotac IONITX L-E. This is an Atom 330 based ITX board with an
NVidia ION chipset, which has an integrated NVidia 9400M GPU. The system has 4GB DDR3 1333 RAM (2x2GB) and a 250GB SATA HD.
I am planning to upgrade to SSD but at the moment the standard HD is adequate.
I use the optical audio out and the system is connected to a Logitech Z5400 multimedia speaker system, the video out is a Samsung LCD TV.
The system is running Windows 7 X64 with XBMC as the hometheater application.
Since I had a camera on my desk while opening this post, I figure why the fuck not take a picture of it. I mean I've been on this forum for over a year now and didn't partake in this practice.

My case only has 1 red LED and this shits me at night. How the fuck do you cope with the blue backlight on your MTPC and your christmas tree of a box?
The blue backlight on the HTPC is an LCD display, during operation it shows various functions similar to a standard audio/visual component (which it is designed to look like). While on standby the LCD panel becomes a digital clock.
I sent a message to that fellow on the other forum with the pics. Maybe he'll come back here and clear things up. :whistling
I joined the forum, but they seem in no hurry to moderate the board, my initial posts are still awaiting an OK from staff. The WAA is a forum of christian gamers ? and they are very against filesharing and warez so if you do get in touch (which I have tried to do) it may pay to be circumspect about which forum this was posted on ?
I also would like a definitive answer .
What do Christian gamers play? Fantasy games where prayers are answered, puzzle games where if you just believe enough the puzzles solve themselves, or just the usual mass murder games in the name of our lord and christ our savior?
That's actually why I put the question mark after the christian gamers bit, it struck me as a bit of an oxymoron since most of the games they play and the game servers they run are for splatterfest's, but then thats merkins for you, God, apple pie and large automatic weapons yeehaw!
The forum is called WWA not WAA as I previously wrote, or World Wide Ambassadors ( of what ?). Kind of bizarre but then people in general are odd, really odd.
Funny how even though the bible is very graphic in every aspect, Christian groups tend to be over protective of what games children play.
