Preacher looks promising
Great ! your Shows worth Watching. The current Season of Walking mumy is very intense!
Game of Thrones, House of cards and Orange is the new black
Preacher is shaping up to be a good show.
Hard Times a 1975 Movie with Charles Bronson James Coburn older movie but easy to watch
The Leftovers is a masterpiece.
The Good Place is... good.
Vice Principals
Game of Thrones
The Expanse
The Orville
I tried watching The Orville but it was so bad I felt compelled to make my TV go sit in the corner as punishment.
Or it could be that some things that work beautifully when animated don't work nearly as well when done with actual people. See every live action thing that Seth MacFarlane has ever done with the possible exception of Ted (1)....and even that was part CGI.
Why would one tv show require an unrelated show as a prerequisite??? Is that because the humor and sophistication level of any of those you mentioned is so utterly brilliant and cutting edge that one simply cannot comprehend the material without being nursed up to that level?
Hopefully, yours will remain the worst argument I encounter this week-- or is it that I need to read your entire post history in order to understand your brilliance? :idunno:
I dunno, I would have enjoyed Wonder Woman a lot less save for all the lesbian porn I've watched.
Bring on the VR lesbian porn!!! :w00t:
Strip the Cosmos
This series reveals worlds never seen before; stunning CGI animation peels back the layers, revealing alien landscapes of fragile lava caves, roiling plasma seas, cosmic platinum mines, and the hungry black hole at the center of our galaxy – cosmological wonders that play a surprising role defining our place in the universe.
One could hardly guess you are copy and pasting that, dion :yup:
As for a show that pleasantly surprised me with its cheesy, cringe-worthy scenes, an actor I don't really enjoy, and a network I avoid, not to mention a very generic and cheap sci-fi name... Give Future Man with Josh Hutcherson on hulu a try. Once I was 2 episodes in, I actually enjoyed it. Flawed, but fun.
Clearly BTN isn't above plagiarism.
Btw I was mightily disappointed in how the Discovery Channel resorted to tricking people into thinking this would involve nudity and not just a lot of wank science shit.
OK to be fair there was a bit on Uranus.

I watch so much stuff,i loved deadwood and stranger things.only got into them a few months ago.even though deadwood is quite old now.
For the first time, I'm looking at a spanish show, La Case de Papel. Very intense ! Didn't see the end yet...
I'm also into Game of Thrones. Also liked 13 Reasons Why. I heard about La Case de Papel, Stranger Things and the Handmaid's Tale a lot...if I find the time, I will watch them.
There are only a handful of movies I have felt were outstanding this year: Ferdinand, Blade Runner 2049, Last Jedi (Luke Fucking Skywalker!!!), Guardians 2, Logan (for what it was),
Good, but not as great as said to be: Dunkirk, Get Out, Darkest Hour, Shape of Water (Dark Splash remake), Roman J., Esq., Beauty and Idol, Baby Driver,
Have not seen yet: I, Tonya, Phantom Thread
Seen, but can fuck off: :Lady Bird (teen angst and self pity countered by quirky shit-- watched 30 minutes before vomiting on my remote), Three Billboards (suffered through whole thing hoping for something worthy of my attention-- not at all)
Personally, i'd give special effects awards. Blade Runner was a very well done sequel as were Jedi, Logan, and Guardians 2. Ferdinand I *loved*... Still award worthy??? IDK. On the benchmark of "Would I purchase any of these to have forever?" All but Ferdinand fall short.
Best of the year means far less during as year of disappointments and made-for-award-show-acclaim.

I mostly concur. Especially special effects awards to Blade Runner. ;)
I go with Best Film (and Director) "The Shape of Water (Back up or layoff bet... "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri"
Best Actor: Gary Oldman "Darkest Hour"
Best Actress: Frances McDormand "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri"
Big party tonight betting and such. Thank YOU! :) :alien:
You know Idol? You never fail to make me smile or laugh... (especially when you point that razor sharp wit at Meg) ...but as it has been over these years... I know you just love the guy. ;)
(NO, unrequited or not you REALLY love him.) ;) :alien:
The Best Picture Oscar isn't voted on like the other categories. For Best Picture people give first, second and third choices and the winner is determined by aggregate score. Therefore something like Get Out will probably benefit more from that than a more artistically brave(ie divisive) movie would.
Also in Hollywood you can never underestimate the desire to appear politically correct.
Btw I don't care how much Meg praises it. I refuse to see Ferdinand as I've never like ABBA.
Actually of all the movies mentioned I've only seen Guardians and the fight scenes from Logan that were on a YouTube video.:blushing: I hear that Willem Dafoe killed it in The Florida Project though, whatever that means.
:) Thank you Meg & Idol! "Money" -Pink Floyd playing in my head... better'un fantasy football! :alien: Ka-Ching! ;)
"Get Out" got its nod, but haven't watched Willem Dafoe who you say killed it in "The Florida Project" or "I,Tonya"... never liked her.
"Lady Bird" was good too. ;)
Seriously??? You liked Lady Bird? Saoirse is always a good actress, but I found the tone of the show unbearable.
I, Florida and Tonya Project are my next watches...
As Meg's favourite pickup line is apparently "Hey, sailor. I certainly like the cut of your jib" I wouldn't be too concerned if you and he don't see eye to eye on everything, Stehle.
