I had that trouble too.

I saved the game when the Girl was Stuck doing/going anything/anywhere.

Then came here to look up some info, found it and load up the game.

And I load up the Save File where the Girl was stuck, and it continued from there,
she just walked into the elevator (elevator was on the same floor allready)
and kept talking as the elevator started moving...

Try that, might help.

Short version: Save the game, Load up the same Save-game.

i think by now some of u may have known a new release of Half Life 2 is out courtesy of Vengeance.

so for those guys who are really too frustrated with their current version of HL2 (getting stucked because of a bug in their release), maybe this Vengeance release may help because it seems to have succeeded where others can't...read this and u'll know wat i mean http://www.nforce.nl/index.php?m=nfo&id=80036

Counter-Strike: Source does not use CD Keys.

umm doesn't it use Steam which uses a CD key, lamens term:

you can't play CS Source w/o valid cd key or any online game for that matter unless you can make cracked servers like halo. good luck :)

nice release unlike other crappy release its setup based not extraction, and has Cs Source too, installing it as i type, let u guys know hows it.

Update:
It works fine, AI and steam problems r fixed(Loaded a Saved file and worked fine) and yes indeed it loads faster.
ooh and Css is included with it.
one thing, if u want to play Css u must go thro steam and it ask for key. what to do know, is there any key been released?

Nice , and its released by Vengeance , a.k.a formerly Deviance . I'll definetly try downloading it , btw bawa can i load my save game file from previous cracked version of HL2 releases on this Vengeance one ?

yeh u can, just copy same save files in "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\User\Half-Life 2\hl2\SAVE"

So, after playing HL2 which looks and feels like a cool game,
I have desided not to buy the game. Atleast not before the Steam is
pulled off from it.

I know that in the future I will not have the Net so I couldnt possible play the game anyways,
if it needs to be activated over internet. Im going to move out of this

I downloaded the deviance version of hl2, i installed it and i applied all neccesary crack from the vengeance folder , but when i go to open the game , it opens the steam program. is this supposed to happen with this version ? im just a bit worried cause valve could easily detect my account/ip then delete it...

Well son, there is now PROTOCOL 7 UPDATE, and HL2 Deathmatch patch for cracked versions on SUPRNOVA!

NVM , found it out , i had to run vengeance hl2.exe, before it wouldnt start up but then it did :D

That isnt true at all. You dont need steam whatsoever to play CS: Source. I wish you would please know what you are talking about before you give answers to people, and/or correct them. All you need is a steam account, that is it, then you can uninstal steam from your computer and whatever else. Then you use the Emporio/Luzifer patches and you are up and working.

With all the BS going on with the valve/steam stuff..........is the store bought version the best to have ????

I mean IF it is as awsome as I keep hearing..........It might be better to just bye it instead of DL'ing it for a test drive and having to apply this patch and that patch for the thing to work right.

Haha, TheDave your posts make no sense. Anways for the post before that, I would suggest buying it, but as long as games stay 50$ and up, there is no way in hell I am ever buying a game again. HL2 isnt that old. I have beaten cracked HL2, and I have cracked CS:Source, the only thing i cant get to work is deathmatch. But i am sure in time i will be able to get that to work. I guess if you dont want to go through a little trouble, you can shell out half a benjamin for a few CD roms but oh well.

Error

I burned the image files do disc and have installed the game with them seven times now, and early today, while using CD 4, I get this frigging error. So I figure, I must've done something to the cd so it was unreadable, so I began mounting the image files, and I get the same fucking message for the fourth image file. This makes absolutely no sense, since I have been able to install the game with these same files seven times in the past twenty-four hours. What the hell happened? Does Vishnu hate me?

Make a folder on Hard Drive - Call it Half Life Disks. Copy all .cab files, .dll, .ini, .inf, and .msi files from the disks to folder. Run hl2.msi.


This bug was also reported when people used the original disks

Your so right orcutt989 its these fucking release groups. They charge way to fucking much. I say we storm there HQ and demand they give us our money back.

Im kinda stcuk in hl2 so could some one please help me ?

Im the chapter "Follow Freeman",my question is that when i get to the building where i have to diasable generators, i get to this one room where there are all these turrets. After i destroy all these turrets there is no way to get out of the room , i've searched everywhere. May some one please tell me how to please ?

there should be a big blue elctric thing in the room guarded by the guns. shoot at the floaty thing in it with your gravity gun

Alright what i meant to say is that, there are all these red wires that lead to the generator room, if i cross it , this makes like 6 turrets pop up and start shooting at me . What i have to do is sneak to through the ref light and disable the security system, do you or anyone know how i can do ? I already tried gamefaq and its no good for what i'm trying to do...

That didnt work either. But I figured out what the problem was. It only gives you the error if you tell it not to install CS Source. But as long as you install both of them, then the install works.

turn right from where you are in that screen shot, theres a wall near where you entered the room, jump and land on the very edge of that wall. then jump across to the ventilation thing. this will probably take 6000 attempts but it worked for me

I just ran through the turrets.

i tried that a few times but even when sprinting the doors shut to fast
