Graphics card i would say becuase it just sounds like it and i heard something a few days ago about problems with teh 9800 range...

Probably video card is causing all the problems but who knows I am running a radeon 7000 and it works fine and the lowest radeon card they recommend for doom is radeon 8200 B)Quote:

come on 50 pages :rolleyes: , as for ur prob. bigdawg, sounds an awful like hardware problem and/or overheating prob. maybe ur heatsink is messed up for ur vidcard? woudln't hurt to check.

maybe try reverted back to default settings for ur cpu and ur vid card?
is it PCI or AGP that u have, it it's AGP try messing wit ur BIOS (make sure u know wat ur doing first :P cuz noone ever told me the first time :( )
Don't suppose you have fast writes enabled by any chance? Disable them, they tend to cause instability like this.

I thought fastwrite was good...but yah im gona try disabling it.
