Re: Critically Evaluate the last movie you saw.
Killers of the Flower Moon,
I still enjoyed watching a Martin Scorsese. One of the greats. Still, it could have had a better pacing, although I never felt like looking at my watch. I liked how Lily Gladstone and Jesse Plemons stole every scene they were in. Finally, I'm not sure it would have been a better movie, if it would have gone with the perspective of the native's. Motivation of some of the characters weren't as clear.

ALIEN Romulus
I've been a fan since the beginning of the saga, but this film has given me no emotions.
Too many scenes are a copy/paste from previous films. You can practically guess everything that is going to happen, even before the scenes happen.
We don’t have time to understand the relationship between all characters as they die so quickly.
Aliens ridiculously grow fast, it seems that it only takes few minutes for them to get their final form.
I admit there is sometimes good rendering atmospheres, especially in terms of light and photographic framing, for example the weightless acid. It is a good idea but without any suspense as characters easily pass through without any burns.
Re: Critically Evaluate the last movie you saw.
Life's easier if you pretend the Alien series ended with Resurrection.
Re: Critically Evaluate the last movie you saw.
Going to the well too often. That and Alien deserves better than becoming Friday the 13th Part 23. I hated the more recent Scott films and Alien 3 but at least they were telling a story and not merely setting up gruesome deaths.
Re: Critically Evaluate the last movie you saw.
Alien 3 was the weakest of the four, but I can at least commend them for trying something different. Same with Terminator Salvation, even if that was also the last Terminator movie as far as I'm concerned...
Re: Critically Evaluate the last movie you saw.
Terminator Salvation was innovative with interesting new direction in my opinion.
The plot of the story is good, actors are excellent, what else ? :coffee:
It's a shame that this movie never got sequels.
Re: Critically Evaluate the last movie you saw.
I vote Alien & Aliens... "I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure." ―Ellen Ripley ...'nuff said. :alien:

"They can bill me". The Good, the Bad and the Weaselly.
Re: Critically Evaluate the last movie you saw.
"The Wild Robot" was actually quite a charming movie, not just for kids.
Good for a Sunday afternoon.
