this is a very good tip from retrosweed in which i had doubts (1 post only) so i did go on IP and entered wrong username and password just to see what will happened... it reported error (great)... after that all worked fine :) and there is an announcement @ vipmusic saying this:

If this doesn't work immediately, restart your networking interface(s)
should be something like this:
/etc/init.d/net.eth0 restart
or
/etc/init.d/network restart
or
/etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart
and so on, figure out how it works on your linux distro ;)
Windows
---------
edit C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
add this line:
94.75.209.131 vipmusic.org
94.75.209.131 www.vipmusic.org
and restart your networking device if necessary.
Do this on any of your pc's that needs to connect to vipmusic.org and you're set ;)

I'd recommend removing the hosts file entry after VIPMusic's DNS issues are gone, otherwise you may face trouble should their IP ever change again.

cant seem to get vip working, tried the fix but did not work for me, have done it before and it worked.
if anyone reads this ,can they please find out that because of the dns issue and user's not being able to reach vip ,what will happen to the acc's that have not been used for x amount of days
will the system auto delete them?
as i have been a member since the first vipmusic opened many years ago and like the place very much and would be awfully sad if i lost my acc.
