I'll put it in perspective.

Situation 1:

Me and a white co-worker get into an argument. He calls me a motherfucker.

Situation 2:

Me and a white co-worker get into an argument. He calls me a nigger.

In Situation 1 we can comeback to being "cool" again. In Situation 2, there is no comeback.

What I'll do in situation 2 is... Ask the co-worker there definition of nigger. If that co-worker 1)Black 2)Dirty 3)Lazy 4)sub-human. Then after that I would say besides the black part how does the other definitions apply to me. He/she is my co-worker so I can't be lazy, dirty etc. I wouldn't cut someone off as a friend or whatever for being a little ignorant. I mean I got black friends who are racist but don't act on it (not extreme).
