Good point yourself :) Many parts in the North, despite what some might say, is usually quite relaxed; a lot of people I know (myself included) have this sort of banter and don't take it seriously (It's when punches fly for real when it becomes serious ;)) I'm sorry if that was read the wrong way. I wasn't taught that well though at high school; the closest I can think of it "Truth is in the eye of the beholder", and I already blame the Tower of Babel for that :DQuote:
Good point RF. However I was always taught write for the reader. If the chap posted in such a way that would not be offensive in the North of England amongst friends and expected that people from all over the world would understand this then it was rather naive.
Considering the state of Britain's current justice system, I've never been able to see if it is done in that way, which is sad :( Most cases I read it's the criminal who gets away scot free. :'( But I digress.Quote:
I for one took the post on face value and assumed it to be insulting. From JPaulīs response I assumed he did the same. Itīs all about frames of reference really. However I can say that, in the UK bullying and harrasment are judged in the feelings of the recipient, not on the intentions of the person who performed the act.
