Maybe a wrong question, but let me ask U, Guys - how come, that this attack and its consequences have been lasting THIS long? In most cases when a tracker is attacked things usually get back in shape within some hours, but in a couple of days (worst case scenario).

Well, I am not sure if the attacks on the other trackers have been as big as this one. We were not DDoSed by a couple of seedboxes here, this was a gigantic zombie-network (aka a botnet), where people were unaware that they were part of it. These types of attacks are hard to stop, and since we have been so lucky not to have had a DDoS attack against us before, this took a little while.

Thanx for Your answer! And what did trigger this? Some revenge stuff, or some bored teenager - zombie? And why NB first place?
There are plenty of other trackers out there, and IMHO NB is a well-respected and very friendly one. I couldn't imagine that there are creeps who would harm NB. Guess I am wrong after alll...
I hope U overcome all this mess, and get back on track - the sooner, the better.;) BTW, is it any precautions or safety measures which prevent from happening this again to NB?

I read somewhere that Romanian IPs were banned from SCC. If it is true then it is a real shame. I think Romanian Internet is one of the fastes on the planet (aside from Nordic) due to fiber- Internet and all those Metropolitan areas wired.;)

SCC banned Romania since half a year ago or longer if i'm right. There was a time were almost all ro trackers were flooding each other ,only rsr was up if i remember right. And it was then when they ddos-ed SCC a preety long time too, so they eventually banned the whole country
