Which Music Genre Do You Prefer?

I wish there would be something called "Mixed" cause I love some Rock, some Techno, some Dance, some Country and, yes Mixed is the best way to say what I love.

This is a weird poll.

Rock, Metal, Hard Rock = Rock and Metal

Rap, Hip-Hop = Hip Hop OR Rap but not both

Techno, Rave = Techno (also called House)

Where's:

Jazz
Classical
R&B (well I guess that's Pop also)
Reggae

I know the difference between Rock, Metal, and Hard Rock but what's the difference between Rap and Hip-Hop? (and give examples)

well, i'd class hip hop as being more beat-based and 'soft' like eminem, 50 cent

whereas i'd say rap is more hard, lyrical, like rakim

for me it's sometimes hard to pin down a band/artist as rap or hip hop though, as occasionally they'll cross over into both
