I second Dark Matter!

Also if you want something more along cerebral sci-fi and don't mind a slow pace, try Fortitude. It sort of falls apart last season since it got canned and given a limited episode run, but the first two seasons are great IMHO.

I don't get Brooklyn Nine-Nine at all. It's like if you took Police Squad and removed both all the funny stuff and any likable characters.
