But for the most part, other religions are basically saying that we, as humans, are created for the mere fact of worshiping God. In other words, being God is the most selfish thing there could possibly be. In the eyes of God, he is practically saying "Me, me me... It is all about me.". No matter how you slice it, you created your daily life around God. Put it this way. Could you imagine expecting everyone worshiping you all of the time? Do everything you expect them to do, and if they don't they are a sinner. Don't you think that if you are God, who could do anything, would create a way to be happy without the need to create a huge crowd of people to worship you? So, what does God do? He throws in a wrench and gives us Free Will. Now to me, that makes a game out of this whole thing. We are peons, all for the sake of God. God who needs to be worshiped. What a selfish thing to do.
God can do anything, right? If not, then he isn't a God. So why can't he cut the crap (skip life on earth) and create heaven loaded with good people? Instead, he has to make a game out of life and toy with us. Remember, he is God, the guy who saw World War 2 and 911, thousands of years before it occured. The guy who can do anything, including sitting back and watch world events as they happen, even though he already knows the outcome.
Before there were people, there was "just God". How can the the whole meaning of life not be a selfish thing for God?
I have recently heard a theory on the meaning of life. I thought it was interesting.
